So I successfuly rooted the first time I plugged the streak 7 in, but after a factory reset it fails to push psneuter every time. I have factory reset again and reinstalled all the adb and android drivers. Please help.

I realize this is in the wrong forum, but I cannot post in the developers forum yet.

Silly me...

try downloading the dell pc suite from dell.com. After I got that and install the drivers for it I was able to root the streak7.

I already have the drivers, that's not the problem. I even restored my computer to before I got the streak to completely uninstall the drivers. Then I installed them from the device memory. Still no dice.

try using version 1.5.5 I didnt have any luck with 1.6.3 nor did alot of people. Also I was getting those same eras when I didnt have the proper drivers installed. Did you get the drivers of the sd card? Good luck hopefully 1.5.5 works for ya.

I've tried everything recommended on this forum so far. Different versions, toggling debugging mode, removing SD card, etc. I just can't believe it worked the first time and now nothing :0

Thanks! :) Now for my next question...

If Dell issues a Honeycomb update, should I let it install or wait to push a moded version? Will I loose root if I use their update?

I wasn't getting root access with root explorer previously. Apparently I just needed to reinstall it.

good question I cant answer that one. I suppose you would have too unroot and then update. And then probably wait for a root for honeycomb. If we even get honeycomb I sure hope so

I'm so frustrated. Google driver is installed. Superoneclick will not root it. Seems like I've tried everything. Different versions, in and out of debug mode, pull the usb cable now, blah, blah, blah. Please help if you can. I'm new to android, former apple guy. I paid almost $500 for this tablet, yet seems like tmobile owns it. Rooting is manditory. Hacking was so much easier with an apple. If I can't get this thing rooted, I'll be returning it. Please help!
