So listen, I can appreciate the defensiveness to support the app. But the fact remains that AVG and others have identified known Malware and other items, so this is not just my opinion on this, there are facts behind this as well.

I know they are doing something behind that makes me switch to SuperSU but root/kernel exploits (CVE-2013-2094, CVE-2016-5195 etc...) are actually called malware. They need a 'Malware' to root a device. AV prevents rooting apps from exploting a device.

It's a false positive. Cracked apps and keygens are also malwares. Xmodgame game hacker that injects memory to botting is also a malware

Kingroot is super annoying. It have bloat-features, game booster, ram booster, auto-start, lock-screen and ads. No landscape support. I switched to SuperSU and it works perfectly :)

Yes, well anytime ads are splattered all over my device and no choice to remove them, that qualifies as Malware to me.

Hello gatesjunior. I used version 9.8.5 for replacement. The new version 9.8.9 says that additional cleaning has been added. Does this mean that I could have garbage left or something else in the system from KingRoot and I need to reuse the new version?

Hello gatesjunior. [SuperSU ME Pro]

I made the decision to purchase your 'Pro' and give it a shot — however I also made the decision to ask for advice FIRST this time around…

Status:
First phone: [Alcatel OneTouch Flint 50540]
This was rooted with whatever version (4.1?) of [KingRoot] I found at the time.
A 'DisableService app' was installed to disable 'com.tct.App.serviceEntitlement' and was a success, and the cricket hotspot was good to go. ( along with a few other NON-critical apps.) :)
Fast forward a bit and I suddenly, mysteriously lost root — BUT 'DisableService' was still functional, and hotspot maintained.
Fast forward another month and I suddenly, mysteriously started receiving message box on boot up that phone was 'unstable until a factory reset was done' - which I ignored until last week.

After 'reset', boot loop soft brick.

I am still able to get to ADB - it reports 'unauthorized'. 'sideload' appears reliable, but I only got to shell once. I finally accepted the finality of the catch22's of:
no completed boot,
unauthorized,
a few attempted (and failed) sideloads which returned the "E:failed to verify whole-file signature E:signature verification failed" error,
AND no fastboot available on that phone.

But it seems such a great piece of hardware for $50, and to re-acquire internet sooner, I bought ANOTHER 50540 — even though it is not stylish and has no Fan-Boi following. (The 'fierce' version should be the same, but ???)
**************************
Status Second Phone:
1. Installed and configured the phone.
2. searched extensively for root alternatives to KingRoot, Found NONE.
3. Although I REALLY hated to, rooted with KingrootV5.0.5_C172_B407_xda_release_2017_03_31_20170331194315_105243
4. Reestablished 'DisableService app' and disabled 'com.tct.App.serviceEntitlement' to reacquire hotspot
5. Became REALLY annoyed at new(er) version of Kingroot.
6. Rather than attempt any conversion to SuperSU (which had failed on the first phone), decided to merely Disable Kingroot app to get rid of popups/popovers and be able to 're-enable' Kingroot later if need be.
7. Root is lost and Kingroot is no longer annoying - but Kingroot files are still present (and hotspot is still enabled!)
**************************
My Plan:
reinstall same version of Kingroot, since learning 're-enable' is not possible.
install "Super SU Me Pro", and execute (Kingroot)

Questions:
Will this work?
Should I bother to reinstall Kingroot? (It WILL be needed for current root, right?)
Are there any other steps I should take as well or instead?
(and last, and least is phone number #1 potentially unbrickable if I find the correct sideload?)

Thanks!!!

So I have Huawei Y538 and have done this a few times but something keeps messing up.

Rooted with KingRoot 5.0.5 - turned off block of silent install
Got Super-Sume Pro from Google Play
Installed and let it add the Prep app
It installs SuperSu and adjust somethings it says about Kingroot
SuperSume Pr reopens - Grant root and it installs busy box and removes some Kingroot items
Update SuperSu binaries and it asks to reboot.
I reboot and lose root, but at least KingRoot is gone.

So it seems like everything goes right.. but in the end I still lose root. Any Ideas?

There is a kernel module I think required for your device to maintain root upon reboot.

Hi all,

I was able to get this to work on an LG Tribute 5 (Virgin Mobile) but the experience was interesting.

After Kingroot was installed I paid for and downloaded Super SuMe Pro. Once the pre-setup application was installed and ran I kept getting 'unfortunately Kingroot has stopped working .... over and over and over and over ... you get the idea. If I rebooted at this point Kingroot was gone but SuperSu was not installed. If I used two hands to close the dialog and run SuperSUme Pro in the 1/2 second I had before the next dialog popped up I was finally able to complete the replacement and now the phone is rooted with SuperSu and no sign of KingRoot.

I'm not sure if I did a step wrong that caused all the closed dialogs to popup or not but in the end it worked and that's all that matters.

Thankyou gatesjunior!

Hey, gatesjunior!

So I've just purchased Super Sume Pro and need some advice!

I've got a Kindle Fire HDX 7 running FireOS 4.5.5.1 which corresponds to Android 4.4.3. Google Play Services and Play Store are installed and uptodate.

My Kingroot version is a bit older since I've been running it for a few months now. It's 4.9.6 / su version 3.64 / software version 1.0.2 1003.

Starting Super Sume I'm getting the messages "no compatible package installed" and "it appears you are not rooted with Kingroot" which I most definitely am (I'm using several apps that require root).

Is this normal and should I just update to whatever the current version of Kingroot is? And if so, should I try an update installation or remove root authorization, uninstall Kingroot and install new Kingroot from scratch?

Phone stuck on splash screen after installing

I purchased and installed the program on a kingrooted Blu Studio 7 LTE. Phone was working just fine before, but now its stuck on the splash screen. I hit power and up volume and did a system restore...it is still stuck on the splash screen. I also wiped the cache partition.

Any help is appreciated. I am a novice with Android modifications.

Thanks

I had the same prob!

Stuck on "removing kingroot... " And then reboot itself
The kingroot/kinguser app seems to be gone. So i tried to check root status, but give me an error status/ no root access. Tried installing kingroot again but it's shown that kingroot already installed in app mgr but can't be opened, seems like hidden or something. Tried supersume once again, end up getting stuck on "preparing environment.."

Kingroot version: 4.5

I had the same problem on my huawei g6 u10 and I downloaded the device official firmware from the huawei site and put the dload file on the sdcard and updated to it and then the internal storage got erased, root had gone but SD card wasn't erased and then I rooted the phone again and the problem was gone!

I tried running Super-Sume Pro 9.8.9 and Super-Sume 6.7 on a Samsung SGH-T599N and running the CyanogenMod baded ROM, Carbon LP 5.1.1 available:
http://www.meticulus.co.vu/p/carbon-lp-511-for-galaxy-exhibit-ace2e.html

The ROM does not have Kingroot installed, but I wanted to test the apps to see what to expect from them

Super-Sume 6.7 seems to load OK, but Super-Sume Pro 9.8.9 starts and quickly exits. It appears that Super-Sume Pro 9.8.9 might not work properly.

I have attached the captured Android logcat information relating to the time of the App launch and stop.

What does it do?:
• Removes KingRoot / Kingo Root applications
Hello, I have Kingo root applications installed on my phone, but the application says that "It appears you are not rooted with KingRoot, please root with KingRoot and then run this application"

Any ideas? Phone: Flycat Optimum 5501

    Background:
So after we gained root on the Note 4 everyone was excited, except that we all didn't like the KingRoot applications running
on our device and were not sure what it all was collecting. Also, many of our favorite programs we know work with SuperSU and
some even look for it. So we decided as a team to take on the challenge and come out with this script that will completely remove all of the KingRoot applications and put SuperSU on our device.

    Requirements:

    • KingRoot application on your device (There are known issues with certain versions of Kingroot, below is the version I use and know works well..)

Don't even try to run this if you have not just done a clean reboot and then rooted with KingRoot. Yes, you must do
this, otherwise you risk a reboot in the middle of the process and will have to do it anyway..

    What does it do?:
    • Removes KingRoot / Kingo Root applications
    • Disables Knox
    • Installs SuperSU
    • It does NOT give you permanent root on the Note 4 (Update: The Pro version includes root protection, you will be surprised at how long you can retain root now.

What audience of device does it support?:

    • AT&T Note 4
    • Verizon Note 4
    • Many, many other devices

It also will work on pretty much any other device that has KingRoot installed and you are looking at getting over to SuperSU..

This will work on any Android OS as long as you are rooted with KingRoot first.

Process if your device reboots / you lose root:

    Uninstall Super-Sume Pro
    Reboot
Root with KingRoot 5.x or newer
    Install and run Super-Sume Pro

Here is a nice video that ours truly, RootJunky put together:

    Download Link:

APK now available to do all of this for you without a PC..

    Update..

Well, we are now able to get permissive behavior on system for root instead of enforced. Yes, a reboot will wipe it out, but we are progressing..
    31
Absolutely not. Go check the Root Progress thread and see why.

Edit: Since I was in a hurry to type that up I also forgot to say it doesn't matter whether you're using Kingroot or SuperSuMe, you will lose root. There's no sense in wasting time and effort to create an app to do what you're talking about. I would just deal with what you've got now and wait till we get permanent root solved.

This post is not towards @heXacode, this post got me a little riled up: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61181549&postcount=2459
@heXacode is a valuable member of our community, so again, this is NOT directed at him directly..

So, actually, I do have a script that will work on the device and allow you to remove Kingroot and all of its counter parts as well as install SuperSU for you. I have just not released it yet. I have tested it many times and have not found any issues with it thus far. I have been focusing on perm root.. I suppose if there is enough demand for it, I could release it.. I am definitely not about the bounty reward as the ultimate goal, I am about the community and helping others, but I will state this for the record. And BTW, there are three others on the team that are in the same boat as I am in.

Just for all of you and to get an idea about how much money is in this business. I have invested countless hours building Debloater for the 2,000 some people, approximately that use it, I have gotten to date around $200.00 for my time. Everything related to SuperSU script and the discovery of root being able to be obtained by using Kingroot for the Note 4 and all of the countless hours trying to get perm root, $45.00...

So if anyone thinks that this is all about the money, they need to really look at what a normal minimum wage person could make what I have gained in short order. Yet, I have invested literally weeks and months into all of the above and I know some of my team members have also invested a significant amount of their free time as well looking at perm root and developing roms, tools, etc with little appreciation from the community in any monetary form.

So ask yourself, is this for the money or because it is fun and exciting and is a challenge ? And that maybe is why we are doing it...
    30
Guys, we're still on it. Don't give up yet. We're even trying unconventional methods..
    28
    Update..

One click SuperSU-Me coming to you soon in an apk. Yep, just click a button and it will completely remove all the Kingroot garbage and install SuperSU for you. No more scripts, no more PC, etc..

Still need to root with Kingroot, but so fast and easy now with this new method.
