To find a solution would be great if all of you who have random reboots would give also your last stock sbf flashed.

On the other hand I know a case with ca 3 random reboots per day on last builds till change of baseband - after that only one reboot in four days, but still the one
Might have helped to restore only data from a 02/11 backup and after that tb restore of latest app data + wipe cache + dalvik. Not one reboot the whole day despite heavy usage...

Hi, i need some help here... i was on latest CM10-20121109-NIGHTLY-mb526.zip running normal... but i just want to go back to cm7, first tried to wipe data/cache and install cm7 form recovery.. it just bootloops, so i go back to cm10, it worked ok.

But then, i tried to flash the SBF i always used (JRDNEM_U3_3.4.2_177-005_NORDIC.sbf) to do a fresh install of cm7, but after i flashed nordic.sbf phone doesn't boot... it stays bootlooping... Now i cant go back to cm10 and sbf flash doesn't work... what should i do? :crying:

edit: tried flashing stock sbf (i have a red lens defy) and it bootloops too!
Note: i never flashed a newer sbf or a defy+ sbf, just updated to cm10 by recovery.

EDIT2: i tried to flash cm10 2ndboot sbf but justlead me to bootloader error... stock sbf just bootloops so i think some partition (data/cache) are corrupted or in a incompatible format (ext4?)... the problem is that i dont have recovery (not even stock recovery) nor bootmenu.....the only thing that works on my phone is bootloader... any way to fix that partitions from bootloader?

See my answer in second support thread.
CM10 2ndboot sbf can give you bootloader errors if compiled with lower froyo version, even the same BL number

I just wanted to post some interesting discoveries on battery drain and baseband settings.

Some infos: I'm currently running the most recent quarx CM10 4.1.2 version (20121109) with full gapps, the default CPU governor (interactive) and the default VSels and CPU-Speed, I also installed the battd-fix some days ago. I live in Germany and use the O2 mobile network, so these particular settings probably only apply to central European users!

Cause I had issues with mobile connectivity I tried different baseband versions in the last weeks and ended up with 2.21 because this one seemed to be reliable and stable. After some days, again I had problems so I switched baseband back to 3.4.x yesterday.

Good news: I didn't have any problems today and after 8h12min uptime I am still on 87% battery! That was a lot worse before. Well, I didn't use my phone that much today (some messaging, maybe 30 minutes of music with Apollo, Wifi most of the time on) but I guess this is freaking incredible, compared to before.

TL;DR : If anyone has problems with battery life, try changing your baseband settings!

Extract it and then copy to /mnt/sdcard/clockworkmod/backup(s)

Demo is extremely fast.
Faster than 4.1.2

The first ICS builds without radio working were fast too, but when you actually use it with all your apps contacts (hi-res contact photos) mail etc, the speed usually won't be the same :( Let's hope that Quarx&Epsylon can improve the kernel to maintain the speed :)

Not working (so far):
Radio
SD Card
Button backlight
Camera

Working (so far):
WiFi (although signal is weak)
Display
Charging via USB

Demo is extremely fast.
Faster than 4.1.2

Yh I know :D Hope the speed stays the same as 4.2 gets fatted up by CM, AOKP and other teams :p
Can't wait to merge in the the new tweaks to kernel and the device tree into my kangs :D

P.S
I think the reason it's so fast could be due to the how barebones it is atm and also maybe some extra butterness in 4.2 ;)
Also to people looking for developer options you have to go to about phone hit the build number 10 times then it will say "you are now a developer" xD. That's the only requirement needed to be a developer

What are the current drawbacks on converting to ext4? Are there any?

geez this thing is fast...
but sd problem is annoying

any shorter ideas on how to restore nandroid...i think only way to go back to other builds is after sbf flash....coz u cant mount sd in recovery for restoring nandroid.,...:(

but for now...using adb to install playstore atleast and do some testing

cheers quarx

edit...nope thats a fail....adb doesnt even recognise...seems obvious now...usb doesnt work i guess!!!..

i read somewhere that , 4.2 uses a completely newer type of hwcomposer ..
and many devs including ( galaxy s , s2 ) , are depending on CM team to make the new hwcomposer compatible with all devices ( universally) , but sadly we dont have kernel 3.0.. so the speed which we see in our 4.1.2 and 4.2 is not even 20% of the original speed on which these OS's were meant to be performed.
also , quarx updated our kernel to 2.6.32.60, so maybe the increased speed can be the result of this .. and we all know 4.2 is faster thn 4.1 by core :D

but , m pretty sure , that when the CM merges their hwcomposer , and if we get kernel 3.0, u wont believe ,how much butter we will get :D
till then ,.......
