Now I need someone who is facing random reboots very frequently, I need you to test this fix. You need to know how to take a logcat and must have a backup if this leads into bootloop. If this patch goes into a bootloop get a logcat and send me. If it boots fine check for the purpose of the patch.

The reboot is fixed in the CM11 test build 18/8/2014 (the first reboot fix test build). I have flashed it once again to confirm it. Is it possible to use something in it or is it new feature (sensors) that cause the reboot?

for me, there is no reboot (18/8/2014) and i have posted that version somewhere for test and people reply me saying no reboot in that build. But they said reboot occurs again starting from 21/8/2014 build.

@varun.chitre15 is it possible to apply the reboot fix on 18/8/2014 build on the newest cm build?? coz it is the only build without reboot (though sensors are not fixed)

I have VanirAOSP right now, but as the base is CM11, I suppose this could work in this rom too. Testing the rom I found that if you cover the proximity sensor and touch the screen at the same time, it freezes or reboots, everytime. Because of that, almost everytime I put it into my pocket, it reboots.

So, I installed Deep Sleep Battery Saver app to force it into deep sleep and avoid this problem. Since then, I haven't had any screen off reboot. Try it and lets see if this works here too.

I tried the double tap to sleep but not the app. Will try it later. Im now using 18/8/2014 coz no reboot though sensor not working.

While installing cm I had enabled TDB but today when I booted into into recovery to boot into miui it showed option to enable TDB.
Should I enable TDB again or directly activate system 2 and boot.
What will happen if I enable TDB again ?

Someone in miui forum mentions an app which can solve the reboot problem by disabling deep sleep. The app is called 'captivate keep alive', setting it to around 21%.

I've solved the random reboot with captivate but we don't have deep sleep working.
So i think there is a problem with deep sleep.

Are people having no pattern lock/pin lock configured having reboots too?
@varun.chitre15 do you want us to try some different scenarios to troubleshoot the issue further or do you have enough data for resolution?
