well, i finally got the time to try this out, and about half way through pushing the new setup into the phone, the power switch on my strip got something dropped on it and killed power to the computer. now the computer won’t even recognize the phone.
im gonna mark this down as a failed endeavor, but through no fault of the process. it seemed like it was going to work. i just f***ed it up.
next time, i think i’ll clear off the desk first, and maybe have three or four less beers before i start.
i’ve got a replacement phone coming in the mail (or fed-ex or something). i’ll try it again when it gets here, if they send me the same phone.

UMX U693CL Assurant Wireless

So I know there are root tutorials and utilities for the UMX U673c and the UMX U683CL, but does anyone have a tutorial or a way to root the UMX U693CL? I already have dev console activated, usb debugging on, and oddly weird...under the OEM Unlock...
