Today I finally found out the CID on my SD card. When I ordered it, I asked the seller to enter the CID: 5d5342303031364712eac15a22013400. As you can see in the attached picture, the CID is quite different. Therefore, the maps in infotaiment cannot be loaded. I asked the seller to send me a new card with the correct CID, so I will see if they will send a new card for free.

Hi,
I've tried cid change on my lenovo with both the archive attached custom ubuntu distro and the current release.
attached v16.04.1 gives error 'unlock command failed' and current v22.04.1 gives message to check I'm using genuine Samsung evo SD.
Tried 2 cards - can read cid ok on both (and ok on some other random branded SD cards) and they look like genuine Samsung evo cards.
using bundled microSD adapter (Samsung)
adapter made in China, microSD made in Philppines
Any suggestions where I'm going wrong
Thanks for all your excellent help on the forums
Not all Samsung Evo card are CID writeable. You need to buy from ebay or Ali CID writeable advertised card.

Thanks for confirming that. At least I can read CID if I need to. Ordered cards with CID set already. 3 Suzuki’s in family so was looking to save a bit of cash. Maybe I’ll try again on next map update.

Hello. Today the seller sent me a new micro SD card with the same CID number: 5d5342303031364712eac15a22013400 (thanks to the seller for his professional approach). After uploading the map data to the card and inserting the card into the infotainment, the map data cannot be loaded. An SD card (not micro) with the same CID number works fine. My opinion is that micro SD cards do not work in infotainment.

Ordered some micro SD cards from SmartSDCard and specified cid: 5d5342303031364712eac15a22013400
Received quick reply via WhatsApp to say they don't recommend mSD for Suzuki and suggested I change to regular SD cards.
I agreed and they quickly dispatched 3 cards.
According to tracking info, they've been sitting in Birmingham mail centre for about a week now.

Have also seen this cid for 2022 maps:
5d534230303136471251b534b1012a01

While bored, checked my old map SD cards
2 from 2015 have cid:
5d53424c32424d310104a03c21010501
and
5d53424c32424d3101145f0181010701
both work ok and seem to have the same map data.

Wondered if it's only the first 18 characters of the cid that are important?

Also seemingly random, unable to read cid on one of my 2017 SD cards and my 2020 SD.
both cards ok in Windows but not recognised in Ubuntu.
Any suggestions on getting reluctant cards to mount?
