swapping antennas

Hi, I have an unlocked At&T galaxy s6 edge plus that I am trying to use on Verizon. After some trial and error it seems that the At&T phone only recognizes some frequencies that Verizon is using making it impossible to call and only be able to use text and data. Has anyone every swapped out the Antenna for a Verizon one onto a AT&T phone? I repair phones quite often so this will not be difficult for me. Just wondering if it should work in theory so i can make calls and use the phone as usual.
