Swipe away notifications in lock screen / ambient display?

Is there a setting within OOS that will let you swipe away notifications that show up on the Ambient Display or the Lock Screen?

So far I have to unlock the phone to be able to swipe away notifications.

You should be able to swipe them away on lock screen

Whenever I try swipe them away they simply "jump" back. If I swipe longer i get a cog wheel and a "i" icon which i can click. it basically asks me whether or not i want to keep receiving notifications.

You have to turn off ambient display to swipe away notifications.
