Switching on/off Moto g4plus without power button

the power button on my phone is broken. the battery drained and now i'm unable to switch on my phone. is there any way to do so, without using a power button?

This worked for me on previous models but I haven't tested it on the G4 but hopefully it will still work.
Plug in the charger and long press the volume down key simultaneously.
There you will get the options screen for normal reboot, reset etc.
You can use the volume down key to scroll and the volume up to select.
It takes a little timing but if you do them at exactly the same time it should work.

Hey I'm having the same issue as this guy and my Moto G4 doesn't work like that as the volume up button only scrolls onto the next option not selecting it, I hope you're able to help as I have no clue what to do

That's bootloader screen,

You need PC and Fastboot installed on your PC,
Then run "fastboot reboot" command and it will start. (search general threads to know about fastboot setup and how to do it.)
