AAAHH, just buy SlideIt. Forget Swype by the time they release it everyone will feel so burned they won't want it. Like Apple and the iphone, I sure don't want it now. I rather give my money to someone that has it available to everyone. The problem most people have is that the Swype company doesn't allow new beta sign-ups. I don't understand why they are limiting the number of people that can test their product. I would gladly pay for swype even if it was in beta. But since I can't pay for it, because it's not on sale, i must "pirate" it.
Then why are you here? Go bother someone else in another forum if we are so inadequate, and not to YOUR standards. You're being of no help here. The Droid Incredible forums here are nearly a complete waste of time; in particular, the development forum is all but useless. (and, yes, I realize the irony in this very post). I'm not sure if this is due to the popularity of the device, but the WinMo forums I visited don't suffer from this issue to nearly the same degree, and many of the other Droid forums seem to have more on-topic discussion.
Moderation is insufficient and ineffective in these subforums.
Sorry, that dog won't hunt.Swype arent morons in marketing, infact they are very clever. They have this beta setup this way on purpose...they have a large yet closed beta to build hype in the geek community which then share this amazing app that noone can get to build anticipation....why u ask? Here's a hint, Its not so u can get it in the market. Now imagine ur a cell phone developer like htc or motorola or dell....how much are you willing to pay swype so ur specific device is the ONLY phone in the world to have such an amazing and already highly anticipated app.

Nor would I, but that one extra feature could be the tipping point in buying one device over another.Sorry, that dog won't hunt.
While I WOULD be willing to pay for the Swype app, I would NOT base my phone-purchasing decision on a keyboard app, no matter how good it was.
