Since I upgraded my G5 to Oreo 8.0 the phone randomly crashes into infinite loop mostly after getting some random notification. Googling about it, and it seems to be a bug in Android 8.0:
When sending Push Notifications to devices on Android O when the app is in the background, the System UI crashes and gets stuck in an endless loop. The only way to fix it is to try and reboot it and sometimes it is corrupting the phone.

And this was just fixed with 8.1:
Android 8.1 will contain a system-level fix to prevent System UI crashes like this.
Anyone know what can be done about this? The phone is totally useless. And I dont think LG will ever ugrade to 8.1 or 9 on the G5.
