Do you know if the global firmware on T-Mobile phone will do auto-updates?
The delta for boot.img between 8.8 and 9.9 is less than 5MB, so yeah, even if your boot_a and boot_b are different, they are largely the same.Well I haven't had time to checksum, but the second file uploaded faster than the first, even though it was the same size. That most likely indicates MediaFire identified the images as similar, thus there isn't much difference in boot.img files.

Will you be able to share links to those files on MediaFire?
Thanks! When I truncated this file to 100,663,296 byte, the hash matched the one in the logs:I've already attached it here https://www.mediafire.com/file/0r5h9v4qj3u8r3c/boot_a.img/file
PartitionInfo new boot sha256: xjRdADROOQQ4ydA6Ua///WJGzi8vFiYENXllV+iaYD8= size: 100663296

Code:PartitionInfo new boot sha256: xjRdADROOQQ4ydA6Ua///WJGzi8vFiYENXllV+iaYD8= size: 100663296
However, the update is still trying to update boot partition blindly, and therefore looks for old hash.
Unless you did a binary compare or compared hashes, your boot_b could potentially still be 8.8 version, so if you could upload it as well, that'd be great, but if that's too much to ask, I'm still greatly appreciative for all your help!Well, unfortunately I'm not sure how to get it to work then. That's the only image I have.
boo! i really wanted to try the xpan feature..with the latest delayed updates, i'm really tempted to go back to unlocked cell phones onlyYeah, unfortunately it seems they only updated the Android patch version to December 2021.
