Are you in the US? UPS has always delivered on Saturdays afaik.

This is the first time I've preordered a phone, sucks that it doesn't get here day of release. Would it have been a better idea to just go get it in store, or would they be sold out?

I'm in the USA. They never deliver to me on Saturday unless that option is selected by the shipper. And I agree with the release day delivery.
