Can anyone tell me if ,when purchasing a phone for mobiles.co.uk, you get 1GB or 3GB of data?
I seem to be finding different opinions. Some say you have to go directly through T-Mob to get 3GB, rather than 1GB through a 3rd party seller. And some say either way, with an Android phone you get 3GB?

I'm not sure about this, but the feeling I get is that you may get 1GB (and no tethering, IM etc.) - it seems that third party resellers are reselling a standard plan where they've already chosen a Flexible Booster for you. Mobiles.co.uk offer "Text" and "Web" plans on T-Mobile, which either have unlimited texts or Web access, both of which are Flexible Booster options.

If you buy from T-Mobile directly, you get the 3GB Internet (effectively Web'n'Walk Plus, so tethering also allowed) and then you also get to choose a Flexible Booster. So, while I could be wrong about this, it looks to me like you lose out quite seriously by not buying direct from T-Mobile. However, I have seen people claim elsewhere that they've successfully argued with T-Mobile that they should get 3GB, though some said they couldn't get them to budge - certainly doesn't seem to be as standard through a reseller though.

Hopefully they'll announce it officially soon!

Yeah, I may wait a couple of weeks.
TBH I wish I had seen this phone last week.Would have ordered through O2 and had unlimited data.Since 24th it seems all new contracts only offer 500MB per month which is right at about the limit of what I use...and thats when NOT using slingplayer or TVCatchup...although I guess the fact it has an FM radio would save me a bit of data usage(as long as it works , unlike on the HD2 I had)
