I'm getting HD logo displaying during voice mails and certain calls here on my end. This is just stock US firmware with AE system/vendor(fingerprint). No wifi calling active.
What version of firmware are you using? Does it mean that the stock US firmware has VoLTE automatically enabled now?

Just mixed and installed 47.2.A.10.80.

Still working.
I just installed CE1 47.2.A.10.80 with US customized 47.2.A.10.80 oem.sin file and I got mms working and fingerprint but wifi calling broke, maybe it's the kernel I'm using that broke it but I'm not so sure yet, I have to wait till Sony stops dragging their feet and releases source for the kernel when they release their next stock update I guess...

I flashed my G8341 to a stock US firmware hoping to have VoLTE. Unfortunately I don't see the option, and it drops to 3G when making calls.

After some searching, I've read that the phone will enable VoLTE only if it sees a T-Mobile SIM. I'm using Mint Mobile (which is on the T-Mobile network), could this be why?

Granted I lost my phone a year ago, if you are on purely stock US firmware VoLTE and WiFi Calling WILL NOT work. You need to do firmware mixing as most people has done on here. I had mint sim in the XZ1 a year ago and it worked fine with VoLTE and wifi calling.

Thanks, I thought people were mixing only to retain finger print scanner. I've flashed using mixing based on the previous posts , and now finger print scanner has returned and I have VoLTE option and Wifi calling option. It still drops to 3G or H+ when making calls though.

I'll do more reading and update this thread if I ever get it to work.

Hey guys, looking for some input. Got an Int XZ P dual sim. Running stock ce1 firmwear. I would like to keep the fingerprint enabled and get volte on tmobile usa working. Ive read many threads and have a ton of mixed info. From what I got was to flash the latest US firmwear and than some .sin files from the CE1 firmwear to get the fingerprint working. This is where im confused, what files do I need to flash?

Thx.

Recently got a G8343 after losing my G8341. I tried to enabled VoLTE and Wifi Calling and once again to no luck. I've identified the problem to be "amss_fsg_X-FLASH-ALL-C93B.sin" this sin file which when flasheding from the G8342 model onto the G8343 it causes the sim to not work. The phone no longer reads an IMEI number for the sim slot, whereas IIRC the G8341 even though showed 2 sim slots, 1 sim slot still had IMEI number. I was not aware of any hardware differences between the 2 model... as the G8341 firmware works flawlessly. I've done some light digging and https://mt-tech.fi/en/modify-sony-xz-xzs-xz-premium-xz1-and-xz2-lte-a-band-combos/ and https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2418893 might shed some light as to why this is isn't working. I currently am busy with school so do not have the time to investigate and as the XZ1 is not my daily driver I am not in an urgent to explore this, but if someone is feeling adventurous please do some investigation and report back!

EDIT: I think it's the issue of bands, if you look in this GSMARENA photo, the G8341 (international single sim) and G8342 (dual sim) share the same LTE bands, while the G8343 (canada single sim) is lacking a few of the said bands. The missing bands might be cause of why it has not been working.

Did you ever figure this out? I had recently flashed my wife's g8342 with US + CE + XZ1c us, and everything is working. So I decided to order a g8342 for myself $175 new.... they sent me a g8343...... I reached out to swap it, but have been trying to get it to work anyways. Tried using 8342 firmware but that lost recognition of SIM and IMEI. Have reflashed to a combo of 8343 (Freedom) with OEM from XZ1c. Wifi and Volte are there as options but do not work. No wifi calling icon, no HD calls. Thinking of trying 8343 freedom with 8341 ce system and xz1c us. Had read previously that some one had found that ce in 8342 unlocked the modem bands or something like that?

Yeah. From what I've gathered the 8343 system doesn't open the right T-Mobile settings that the xz1c compact own unlocks. Seems the only USA system in Xperifirm is the 8342, which doesn't recognize model 8343 SIM slot, but works on the 8341 model even though it's single SIM.

Sent it back. Looking for 8342 or 41 now. My wife's 8342 is still working perfectly with custom flash ROM [emoji849]

update: I'm running G8343 (Canada).
Pulled G8342 (US) and replaced the 3 sin files, deleted userdata.sin and all *.ta and ran newflasher. I ended up getting the "no sim found" message even though everything flashed fine to the G8342 US version. Does this happen to G8341 Int'l folks? (is it a single sim conflict?)

Took the original G8343 firmware and just replaced the oem_X-FLASH-CUST-C93B.sin from the XZ1C (US). It loaded up, but no VoLTE option. After letting the phone run on T-mobile, it asked for a reboot to optimize the cell connection. After reboot, VoLTE option showed up.

Problem now is cellmapper says I have Band 12 tower down the street, but it WILL not connect to band 12, only Band 2/4. Tmo's BYOD app says no too. I confirmed VoLTE and wifi calling are provisioned (*#*#4636#*#*), but any ideas why it would not connect to Band 12? Sim card/imei needs to be registered (it's ~2 yrs old)?
Did you ever get your G8343 to work with Tmobile VoLTE? I have an unlocked SOV36 G8341 and when i flash G8342 firmware on it, there is "no sim found" message also. Swapping the XZ1c oem file with the G8341/G8343 firmware isnt enough because the "amss_fsg_poplar_dsds_tmobile_us_ims_tar.mbn" doesnt get loaded still.

Does anyone know how to make a zip file patch for TWRP with the G8342 firmware modem files from system.sin?

Hi all,

I have a G8342 (XZ1 Dual) that I flashed CE1 firmware when I first got it from US firmware.
Now with Volte and all, I have to go back to US firmware, so I want to do a mix firmware flash.

US firmware for Dual
CE1 for fingerprint
US from XZ1 Compact for VOLTE

Before flashing I can delete userdata file to keep my data.

My question is if I delete userdata file, will I really keep everything, like text messages, phone call history, apps installed, app data, etc. Meaning it wil be like a normal udpate?

Or will I have to reinstall everything, but app data will be kept?
Will I have to sign in back to google?

For those who flashed, right ater booting up the phone, how did it look?

Thank you.
