That's what I get for assuming...Couple of questions![]()
What is CSC?
"Backup first." How? Do you mean there is a way I need to back up in order to revert back to MM? or simply, stick photos onto my MicroSD card?
"Odin the BTU Tar (turn off reboot first) " Just normal Odin but uncheck reboot?
"Disconnect Tab, reset odin. Re-connect phone (no re-boot necessary) " This is in preparation for the next step?
" Odin TWRP (turn off reboot first) " Why is TWRP needed ? Just used odin and tar in the past.. Not rooted![]()
"Boot to TWRP" What for ?
"Format data" I'm still lost
I never have rooted.. no clue what TWRP is for. No idea what you mean

What third party app?I'm still under warranty here, less than a year old. But, I reset network connections multiple times and got it working again. The 5ghz networks still weren't showing, but a third party app allowed me to connect to one, and now settings shows them. So, everything seems smooth again.
Wi-Fi analyzer - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farproc.wifi.analyzerWhat third party app?
How did that app help you connect to 5 Ghz?
The mac address, if same router, will be almost identical, mine shows both the 2.4 and the 5 as separate, with the proper 5G symbol, the third screen (list view) shows all available connections, and all 5G networks are properly identified. Sorry if this doesn't help you, it certainly works for me.How did that app help you connect to 5 Ghz?
I tried and the Mac address to my 5Ghz connection is seen as 2.4 with the app and every other wifi analyzing app.
interesting and no worries. I'm going to try a different router to see if I'm able to connect to my 5Ghz signal. The mac address, if same router, will be almost identical, mine shows both the 2.4 and the 5 as separate, with the proper 5G symbol, the third screen (list view) shows all available connections, and all 5G networks are properly identified. I also have great battery life in stock nougat. And haven't rooted it yet. I'll see how long I can go "stock"Well, I was able to improve battery life by installing Naptime so I will be staying with the rooted, stock rom for now. The improved battery life added to the fact that my Lineage backup is apparently corrupted is incentive enough. Besides, I do like the overall look and feel of stock. And with root I am able to do everything I was able to do under Lineage. Now if someone would develop a decent custom kernel that is compatible with this ROM. :good::good::good::good::good:
Yeah, I thought about doing the same thing, but there are too many apps I like and use regularly (Titanium BU for one) that require root. And I am too much a techy too be satisfied with full stock.I also have great battery life in stock nougat. And haven't rooted it yet. I'll see how long I can go "stock"![]()
Yeap, my battery life is better than when it was on MM but still no 5Ghz wifi. =(I also have great battery life in stock nougat. And haven't rooted it yet. I'll see how long I can go "stock"![]()
change channel to 40 (on router/AP).. and test,.Yeap, my battery life is better than when it was on MM but still no 5Ghz wifi. =(
Certain members of these forums remind me of some students I teach. They want to be spoon fed all of the answers rather than take notes and do the required research, studying and reading. Just sayin'.
I have installed the stock nougat (T813XXU2BQD1_T813OXA2BQD1_DBT) on my T813 and everything is working very well. I like the overall appearance and performance but the battery drains much faster than it did on Lineage or even stock MM. That is pretty much a deal breaker for me since I use my tablet all day long and it is not always convenient to plug in. I also think it is the result of Samsung trying to do too much with a mid range tablet.
Bottom line is I will be going back to Lineage if I can't find ways to extend my battery life.
