I have a question regarding this solution:
Does this underclocking also work if I undo root? Cause I´m using different banking apps that won´t work with root :(

If you root with magisk you can use "magisk hide".

I do this and can use my banking apps.

Hey everyone. Just wanted to tell you i got the exact same problem in my T713. It's most certainly a spike on battery usage and the inability of the battery to keep up due to degradation, as this problem presents when I'm trying to do intensive tasks like watching videos on youtube or entering many apps in a short timespan.

My personal fix was to underclock the CPU maximum frequency using smartpack from 1804Mhz down to 1612Mhz. Obviously you need to root your device for this fix. Once i did this the rate of random reboots diminished substantially while minimally impacting performance. I know its not a perfect solution, but if you use your tablets just lightly, this might certainly work. Changing the CPU governor to some conservative mode might also do.

Hope this helps everyone.
U sir u are a god send!

I bought t713 with this rebooting issue and it was working under the cable, but when I unplugged it was rebooting itself all the time (or it looked like whenever there was any wifi action).
Tried many things found on internet (even opened it and reseated the battery) to no avail!

But doing underclocking to values you said helped and it seems its working :D

Thanks a ton my man, I just got myself a nice tab s2 for 60£ of ebay :D :D :D

Ill update tomorrow if battery will hold and if no reboots happens.

I was suffering this constantly after connecting to wifi on less than 40% charge.

However it's a lot less common after turning off Nearby Device Scanning in the connection settings.

I expect this forces the wifi to maximum power, puts a huge drain on the battery dropping the voltage too low.

Ok so it did it again at 21 percent-kept rebooting on its own till it got down to 15 percent and then stable LOL

so I went to Marshmallow - I know older than old - but much zippier and apps I need all run (not a sophisticated user anyway) - no such 21 percent reboots on T719 for MM. The fault is in the A7 stock rom for the T719.

On my T813 I got random reboots on stock nougat; I then decided to move to custom ROMs hoping for a solution, but same thing. Working solution: removed my SD card (portable storage) completely. I know, 32GB internal may not be enough, but reboots stopped.

No root method to underclock the CPU is enable Power Saving Mode (set to "MID"). This limits the CPU to 70% of max speed (so ~1.3GHz).

Tablet is pretty sluggish in some apps but no reboots if I keep it above ~25% charge.

I bought a used S2 8.0 and when it arrived it would boot up to the welcome screen and then reboot, with 65% battery. I unhooked the internal battery and it now runs off 3x 18650's and it is absolutely brilliant. I mention this because probably the most awesome thing about these tablets is the fact that they are incredibly easy to replace the battery having a plastic back and the battery is in fact under the plastic back. Samsung weren't sadistic toward their customers at this point.

All you need is a very good quality suction cup, I wouldn't expect the type of ones that come with replacement phone screens to work, but it might. There are no screws or anything just plastic clips the entire way round, they will likely break but you can use a thin double sided tape or glue or butyl as blutak or whatever you like to hold it back on, it will still kind of clip back together nicely just not strong enough so needs a little bit of sticky help and it will look just find if you take care.

There should be YouTube videos or walkthroughs if you look, but I thought I should mention it, because if you are having this problem, your battery is toast. And who can afford to limit this CPU, especially if you are using stock ROM, replacement battery is reasonably cheap, $25 give or take.

I've been plagued by this reboot from the day I bought this tablet 5 years ago. It's been sitting in a drawer for the past 4. Thank you for making it, finally, usable!

I had my T-713 lying in a drawer because of this reboot problem. Now with this solution it is usable. One question, what ROM do you recommend? I had Resurrection Remix, but aesthetically I didn't like it and I left Stock lite v8, but I don't know if I should put LineageOS 17.1, which is the last one supported by my tablet. Any experience with this tablet and best version?

I really only used it to fly my drone DJI, thanks to its lightness and good screen quality. Now I used the mobile but it's hard for me to see things, and I want to go back to it. Thanks for the help
