Samsung released a new OTA update yesterday T713XXU1APG1 (385mb) for T713. This seemed to improve WiFi 2.4ghz reliability, improve battery life and video playback. It seems to slightly increase the smoothness in games.

Been thinking about getting a tablet as my eyes are getting bad. Even my note 4 is getting difficult to see sometimes. I've been looking at the s2 and I'm glad this thread exists. With all the wacky versions and shortcomings from notification issues (led vibration) I can say this is definitely NOT for me. I'm on my 3rd samsung device and have grown accustomed to cutting edge full featured devices... Imo this doesn't fit what I'm looking for.
I appreciate all the posts as they have helped me realize samsung hasn't done justice to this line of devices.
T715 has vibration and proximity sensor. It can be normal phon, i use ir 2 month as this...

Exynos vs Snapdragon

With the latest report and 900 million Androids with Qualcomm chips are venerable, it sounds wise to stay with Samsung's Exynos

Yeah I wanted a T815 for that reason but just couldn't find one to buy. It's not only this latest embarrassment but also an earlier announcement (i posted a link before, don't remember which thread) where some security researchers said the device encryption on Qualcomm is broken too. But they said in theory the same problem exists on other chips. This one might also. Basically Android is insecure, the hardware is insecure, blah blah blah. I loved BlackBerry and I don't know of any exploits but since every app is made for Android and maybe Apple if you don't have one of those two you can't get anything done. As usual Marketing uberalles. Most good tech stuff fails to sell.

Hi, I had until few day ago t715- it was great but I sold it with idea tio buy bigger tab.
Now I am wondering is there sense to wait for T813 (T819) or simply buy T810 (T815)?
According to everything I seen on net (not much info) ONLY change is made in CPU/ GPU and is not clear is this platform better...
As I see for future, advantage could be:
1. further support (Android 7)...
2. easier CM/ AOSP implementation (but there is generally working cm12.1 / 13 for olds)
3. I like to have theme support, but it seems no themes on new vresions also...
I like to see someone else opinions...
thanks
What tab s2 8'' should I get the new are old

On proformance
Battery
Sound music video wise
Future android updates

What one should I get & why? What's the difference

Thanks

Jonny

If you're a gamer or want device encryption that hasn't been broken yet and can live with Marshmallow as your last official OS go 710/810 or 715/815. If you need a shot at Nougat, aren't worried about device encryption, and would benefit from a little faster processor at the expense of some graphics performance go 713/813 or 719/819.

To the above people ^

There is no reason to get the older tablets unless you find a really good deal on one.

I play tons of games on my T713, and for the most part, they run fine.

Also, you can disable encryption on the newer models using a custom kernel

Bought the T713 wed. And I'm very happy. It flies and xposed is working... Throw in Vibe and this thing is bad ass. I've hardly used my N4 since. Thanks for the work going on here. ?
