I have a UK LTE SGP321 purchased direclty from Sony - it is still running .253 (I have tried PC companion and OTA refreshes but have not yet been prompted for a .307 update).

2 Questions ....

1. has anyone else with the UK SGP321 received an update to .307 yet ?
2. will this root method work on .253 or should I wait for .307 ?

Many thanks

I got 307 already in sweden. I thought they'd deploy to europe at same time... rooting works on 307 so its up to you.

Not sure what I am doing wrong but all I get is the following in the command prompt.

* Daemon not running, starting it now. *
* daemon started successfully *

But then it just sits there and does nothing. I have both the relevant settings correct for USB Debugging and Allow installs from unknown sources.

Any ideas? My laptop recognises the tablet every time it is connected so not sure why I get this error.

Build is 10.1.C.0.370
Model SGP311

Thanks

Hi!

Just rooted my .370 successfully, worked like a charm. Thanks for the script! But after a restart, shouldnt i be able to uninstall system apps via the app drawer? Those system apps like facebook are still not removable. Not via App drawer, not via setting or a third party tool...

Hi! I had the same problem, I uninstalled system apps with ES File Explorer, directly from /system folder, you can download it from here:

I just did this yesterday on my friends unit and it worked like a charm. Thanks.
I rooted my own earlier and it has a different interface for the superuser. I prefer this new one.
Can I root my unit again overtop the existing root? Or do I have to bring it back to stock before rooting again?

Thanks

For those that may run into this issue I found the fix.

My tablet was in MTP mode under Settings > Xperia > USB Connectivity > USB Connection Mode. Changing it to MSC mode and then running the script again rooted the device.

Thanks for the installer.
