First a big thank you for all your work on Sony device.

I maybe stupid, but the toolkit doesnt work for me.
CM10.2 is on my devices. When I run the script (Linux) , I get this :
Code:
 SGP321 (cm_pollux-userdebug 4.3 JSS15J eng.opahl.20130801.131254 test-keys) is not supported.
You need to manage to get remap_pfn_range addresses.
No idea how to deal with it.

Out of topic, but I tried flashtool on my Arch box, and it can't work as it can't find libusb, when it is indded installed. Then, there are some changes in Arch (maybe other distros) as rules.d are now in /usr/lib/udev/rules.d/. I changed the script according to.

regards.

EDIT : looking at your android_root_shell device database, I see CM10.2 is not a supported rom. I will try to hack a little bit this database and see if I can root this way.

Really you can't do nothing about it. I wouldn't tinker with it.

That's because the stock rom is fully Odexed.

I've been searching for a good guide to fully "Deodex" the stock US Branded .370 but haven't found a good one.

Once you got this deodexed, if you use Root Explorer, it won't reboot anymore. I tested this theory on my S3... Odexed it, and it would reboot whenever i transfer thru Root Ex or uninstalling thru Titanium Backup.

Hope this helped.

it doesn't work because root bug was fixed by Sony in this firmware.
I just upgraded to the latest .244 firmware on my SGP321 (android 4.2.2)

Are there any root solutions for this build or are we waiting for a new exploit to be discovered ?

If not I may have to consider downgrading and re-flashing .307 and then re-rooting ... I can't live without root ;-(

I am looking to root my XTZ (SGP312) running 4.1.2 and Build Number 10.1.C.0.370 but there seems to be some conflicting advice about whether it has worked or not?

Am I right in assuming you can just do it with DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit or do I need to do something else to unlock the Bootloader. Total n00b at this, still trying to get my head round it.

Cheers.

ps. I am not currently wanting to flash any custom ROM's to the device, I just need root access to try and recover some files - if that changes anything!?

1).it works good.
2).no need to unlock bootloader.
3).just use it according to instructions.
