SGP311 4.2.2 [ROOTED] - CONFIRMED!!!

1. Starting point: Stock ROM 10.1.C.0.370
2. Rooted device using DooMLoRD Easy-Rooting-Toolkit
3. Installed SuperSU into /system - this took several attempts
4. Applied Sony update via OTA 10.3.1.C.0.136
5. Device has now 4.2.2 ROOTED!!! 8-D

And I also made a backup of my TA partition after step 2, just in case ;)

Followed everything here. Root wiped out upon OTA install.

this works for me, after several try:

SGP321 "ONLY"- LTE 16GB - 4.2.2 [ROOTED] :=)
1) flash SGP321_10.1.1.A.1.307_Unbranded.tft
2) root with DooMLoRD_Easy-Rooting-Toolkit_v17_perf-event-exploit
3) save root with Voodoo OTA RootKeeper v2.0.3
4) get SuperSU as an system app
4) get the new firmware over ota!
5) Tablet with new firmware "4.2.2" and root access is the outcome :) :)

I feel stupid but where the hell is Enable USB Debugging?
Nothing in Apps or any other menu in settings.

It's in settings/developer options.

If you can't see developer options, go to settings/about phone and tap on Build version about 6 or 7 times. You should get a message telling you that you're a developer and developer options should have appeared in the settings menu.

I tried with SGP311 10.1.C.0.370 DE since it's the only european I can find online for mi SGP311.
Actually since I can choose my language "Italian" from the setup, the rom works out of the box, I can easily root it, but I can't update then to 370, it downloads the update, start to apply then after a few seconds reboot and gave errore message (generic:impossible to update).

If I'll do that with kyes I'm pretty sure it will destory the root.

I'm not a "root maniac", but I would like to restore apps+apps data from my S4 to Xperia Tablet Z as done with the new nexus, and I need root for that.
AdAway would be nice to use too... :(

Well, I'll try to find out if it's a root problem or DE rom on IT tablet problem, but I'm pretty sure that the tablet is downloading the right update, so maybe it's the root stuff that cause troubles :(

Hi All,

I have a SPG312 with unlocked bootloader, I'm unable to do update to 4.2.2 using OTA. It will download the OTA, reboot, try to apply the update then boots up with a error message. I read unlocked bootloader cannot use OTA.

If I use Sony EMMA software to do a full update to 4.2.2, can i still use Doomloard root tool to root 4.2.2 successfully?
Same situation, but locked bootloader on a SGP311!
