I have an Teclast x80 pro E3E6 and its battery is almost dead.
So decided to remove it and use it as a photo frame or wall clock.
Battery had 3 terminals soldered to board.
I removed it and directly connected output of LM2596 DC-DC Buck Converter Step Down Module

in LM2596 circuit output is adjusted to 3.7v and the center battery terminal in board a 10k resister is connected to GND.

LM2596 input connected to 5v (micro USB jack)

but the tablet does not boot.

Any idea what I am missing here?, anyone tried the same? also tried with v3.8 from Buck coverter.

If I measure voltage in old battery it shows 3.7v.
ratings of battery is
-Rated voltage: 3.7 V
-Charging voltage: 4.2 V
-discharge protection voltage of 2.7 V + / - 0.1 V 3.0 + / - 1.0 A
-overcurrent protection (2.7 V ~ 4.25 V)
-The discharge temperature: - 20 C ~ + 60 C
-Protection IC parameters, charging protection voltage of 4.20 V + / - 0.05 V,
-over discharge protection voltage of 2.7 V + / - 0.1 V

Initially I connected only power terminals for board (bz replacement batteries online had only 2 terminals) then tried soldered resistor.
