New OS Update Verizon - SGP561 running Android 4.4.2 rooted with PhilZ

I have the Verizon SGP561 running Android 4.4.2 rooted with PhilZ Touch & CWM & TWRP installed. I just received notice of an OS update. Has anyone else receive this and know what it is? I hesitate to take any updates and don't want to lose root.

Am I right to think that I can flash the pre-rooted Lollipop stock firmware like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2-tablet/general/lollypop-t3057435 using this one and I shall have the Lollipop 5.02. I can switch back to other flashable stock kikkat firmware with this dual recovery any time I want too?
Yes. You can flash that and have Lollipop 5.02 if you have SGP511 and it propably works also with SGP512 too. Only problem at the moment is that we only have read access to system and Dualrecovery need to be updated to work with Lollipop. Luckily [NUT] is working on it. So at the moment no direct flashing back to kk stock flashable. After Dualrecovery is updates, then yes.

Thanks, I had used Lollipop 5.0.2 for a few days, gave up on it and just flashed back to 4.4.4. So if I cant flash back and forth, i'll stay with 4.4.4 till the next update.

I've used the Directions to a TEE, my tablet is rooted, but when it says "Rebooting to Recovery now" it never does. It always goes right back into the OS. The only reason I want to go into Recovery at this point is to flash an update for XPosed because it's not installing properly.

EDIT: Nevermind, got it all working now. I downgraded to the older FW, installed SU as a System App, installed and updated XPosed and Busybox and updated after that. Everything's still there and set.

Are there any TWRP themes compatible with this? I downloaded the 1200x1920p theme from http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/themes/theme-twrp-materialised-dark-light-play-t2915584 but its stretched out :( Would really love that theme!
Themes are always compatible, provided they where created for the included TWRP. But you might want to ask the theme dev to create one for your device, because I personally never used a theme and won't be able to answer that...

Lollipop can not be rooted with TowelRoot.

@QuaQuaRaQuaQua if you really read the installer output, you would have known not to report this 'bug' and tried to find a solution. One of them is to flash a kitkat rom, root it, install XZDR and then flash a recovery flashable pre-rooted Lollipop ROM created by someone else or by yourself using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/tool-prfcreator-easily-create-pre-t2859904

I have installed prerooted stock rom with includes dual recovery 2.8.10.
In PhilZ Touch, which I prefer, i have no way to choose sdcard1 as source for restore or as path to make a backup. Only Restore from sdcard or Backup to sdcard, which is my internal sd card of my z2 tablet. But I would prefer to make backups to my external sdcard. What have i done wrong. My sdcard is exfat which under my z phone is supported by dualrecovery.

EDIT: OK, forget it for now. I have updated to 2.8.14 and sdcard1 is available in Backup and restore in Phils Touch. Will now try to make a backup

BUT: What do do to have the time and day settings correct on next boot to recovery? I always have to set it new even setting auto restore settings enabled. And what does it mean: E: Unable to create brightness sys file ?

The brightness file message can be ignored. Look inside the FAQ on post 2 on the DevDB thread (link in OP) to see what to do about the time and date.

Thx, i tried it with third option and date and time are correct on next boot to recovery.
Backup to sdcard1 also seems to work. Backup is created. Will see, if i am in use to restore the backup ;)
