Hello to all,

I guess stas30 was right when saying that the last two firmware updates work. I checked it again (just a few minutes) and I can confirm that 3D, camera and making phone calls is working with the firmwares dated 2015-10-10 and 2015-11-09.

For this reason and to complete the firmware collection I modified both firmwares with root privileges, some minor changes and deodexed applications to make the xPosed Framework working. Like I said before I only did short tests - it's your job now to check what's working or not. But never forget to do a factory reset after having flashed a new rom !!!

p.s.: I personally went back to the firmware dated 2015-09-10 because I think the 3D effect is working best here. Maybe it's just a placebo or the cameras for scanning our eyes are working better. What do you think

Don't flash the ROMs from needrom, the 1S ROM is not compatible! and the other one is a VERY old Beta ROM, not usefull at all. Also you might loose the 3D effect if you flash another ROM, as the phone then needs to be calibrated again to show the 3D effect, and only Estar can do that then. As far as I know there is no KitKat ROM out.

If the look is different in videos you have seen, it is just using another launcher, but the ROM is still just based on 4.2 - I think the Chinese version from 2014 had another launcher, but that version did also miss the Play Store, so not recommended.

Pokemon runs on Android 4.4. If you install the latest CyanogenMod custom firmware by @luckasfb your son will be able to play Pokemon.
However, there are two bugs in this version. The 3D effect is not good enough. Front and rear cameras fail to install due to a detection failure but a workaround has been found.

Finally the Gyroscope and Microphone are fixed.

First you need to check if your phone has Root already with Root Checker Basic.

Luckas, can you make an automatic script to Root with DirtyCow, please?
It must save a backup of IMEI/NVRAM, also a full backup of the firmware.
Then an option to flash the TWRP custom recovery and Luckas ROM 4.4.2 or alternatively Pogodancer modified firmware.

The Chinese apps of KingRoot and iRoot are problematic.

There are several scripts of DirtyCow in GitHub but none is for TAKEE 1.

I have edited the Pogodancer tutorial (ReadMe5.pdf), merging the relevant instructions of the original ReadMe.pdf and ReadMe2.pdf.

Download to your PC the Luckas ROM and TWRP custom recovery from the FTP link, also open the link to instructions that is provided on NeedRom.

Go to section "Software required by the PC" and download from those links.

To make it easy for you, opt for Minimal ADB and Fastboot tool in the first link.

If KingRoot blocks you for any reason give ROOT permission for those tools. There is a workaround to copy your IMEI/NVRAM using a File Manager.

Your TAKEE is brand new, do you need to save important data? Get a microSD card to save your photos, documents, files and firmware backups.
Is KingRoot annoying you and blocking your attempts? Uninstal KingRoot and loose your ROOT. It is possible to flash directly with SP Flash Tool but all the data on your TAKEE 1 will be gone.
If you follow this option then use the Chamelephon app to restore IMEI.

Luckas 4.4.2 rom

I've installed Luckas rom (4.4.2 - last), first impressions:

:good: positive: Easy to install following instructions on needrom & installed Gapps)

:good: positive: everything seems to work

negative (ligth): Took several minutes to front camera to be active (used apk from playstore p-ower manager to perform hot reboot) - this process must be (re)done if battery goes to 0% or cold boot, after some "could not connect to camera" and "gallery" errors, starts working and the hot reboot turns on the rear camera. (Could the drivers of the camera be forced to load in the rom's boot?)

negative (ligth): When using it opening and closing apks, after a while the phone seems to become slow and I have to reboot it. I don't know if this is from the rom or from the apks installed, but with stock rom this did not occured.

negative (ligth): I have to reinstall USB MTP drivers as I could not write any file in the device from the PC, I could create folders but could not copy nothing there.

negative (severe): sometimes after a hot reboot sim1 turns off (spite beeing detected) and I can not figure how to turn it on again (I've changed sim to sim2 and it worked again, don't know yet if this problem will occur again) the first 2 times I've flashed again the rom (does anybody else have this issue?) (edited: I think it is related with network 2G/3G as this happened again yesterday (9th March) and I forced network manually and it started working after switching 2G/3G put it on auto and is still working)
