Hello everybody

I hope this to be a common problem. I
I charge my mobile phone via 1amp 5v charger,
Even then it easily takes 10 to 12 hours for the battery charge to reach 99%.

It reaches 95% charge rather quickly.
I expect the mobile phone to take only 4 to 5 hours to finish charge completely.

Please suggest some solutions to achieve that.

If my mobile phone charger reach even 99% it makes a world of difference in battery life.

Sent from my Nexus S using xda app-developers app

^This. Mine charges to about 98% most of the time. What's weird and something that hasn't been answered yet is why the phone never charges to full if I leave wifi on but if its charging with just data on, I'll get a full reading.

I read the linked page completely and quite understand the logic.
But, even then my mobile phone's battery reaches 99% if left for very long time.
At the same time, the battery drains slowly if it reached 99% charge.

Yesterday my battery % was 38% at 8 PM.
But today, it reads 20% at 6 PM.

Yesterday i disconnected the mobile phone from wall charger after the battery % reached 99%

But, today i disconnected it while the battery % reading was at 95%.

You can say that battery gauge is lying to me.

But at the end of the day, the mobile phone would be switched off by Battery Gauge's instruction and not by my instruction.

It's called bump charging. Charge your phone to max with the screen off. Then charge the rest with the screen on (I recommend enabling the keep screen on option in the developers section of your phone for that). It will charge to 100%, and not only for cosmetic.

This has 2 sides. It will give you more battery BUT it is not good for the battery in the way that it makes it deteriorate faster. Thus if you plan on keeping this phone for a few years, you should likely not bump charge it.
