Tango 8773 Cabsender

I successfully updated my AT&T Titan from 7720 -> 8773 using the cabsender and the update files posted HERE. My Titan does not have HSPL i simply updated to 8773 using the cabsender. Even though Tango doesn't offer much in turns of features I still like to have the latest .

Yes there are Custom ROMS with tango already, but since I can't flash custom roms atlease I can still have 8773 even it its locked down and branded.

All OS updates are NON-DEVICE-SPECIFIC so you can update to Tango on any device either it be a US Titan/II or an European Titan.

I attached a screenshot of what My cabsender folder looks like. That is the files i used to update from stock U.S 7720 to 8773. If you are already on 8107 just put the files i posted above.

I couldn't do a one shot 7720 => 8773 update. So i just broke it up
7720 -> 8107
8107 -> 8113
8113 -> 8773

Updated to 8773 finally and now the burst camera doesn't work.

Phone is ruined basically.

What a horrendous POS this device is.

Works for me.

I did flash the stock 7720 ROM to the phone and then updated. I still haven't received the HTC updates to the Camera Modes, Sound Enhancer etc. But then again it takes days for me to get those updates after a fresh install.

How do I return to 7720 though?

You can't with Cabsender. :-(

The burst modes and everything are selectable, it actually tries to take burst shots but gets stuck.

With the stock ROM (RUU update)

If you have an AT&T Branded Titan then download the "Cingular" IMG if not choose which ever is for your titan (Europe/Asia). Then flash it and your back to 7720 (Cingular).

Just installed 2.05 , and it's put me at 8107.

Hmmm... Wasn't expecting that.

No updates in Zune neither.

you used the Europe 2.05 rom which is 8107. That was the last update released by HTC. And for now HTC hasn't released any updates via Zune. If they releases a Tango update you should receive it when ever that is.

This phone doesn't play nice with 8773 unfortunately. Maybe a camera driver issue.

If that isn't Tango then what is it?

Nokia, Samsung and Euro HTCs have already have Tango rolled out or is it just another set of HTC updates? (This will make it 3rd since 7720!)

I also tried the call quality on 8773, it was as ****ty as on 7720.

Go into the HTC Hub and download or update the camera modes

That got fixed with the 7.10.8107.79 update.

Does anyone's Titan hang after a hard reset after updating this way to 8773?

As at the end of the initial setup process there is now a new screen saying "HTC will now help you set up network settings"

And until you manually open connection setup none of the buttons respond!

First time I've heard of anything like that. What kind of setup did you have before updating? Was it a stock locked ROM or where you running a custom ROM.

Yes, it was a stock WWE EU/UK Locked ROM 2.05

I have also noticed that the intial welcome SMS is also delayed until I manually open the Connection Setup App or until I delete that App!

Very very weird as I also updated my Omnia 7 and that is perfect.

Also, I have tried hard resetting a number of times and everytime the same behaviour is exhibited.

Frist I run WP7_updat_tool,then I run the Wp7 Update Cab Sender.bat file.

I have the Cab files in the same folder as the WP7 update Cap sender.bat.

I pick the S option when I run it. It say done, But it didn't do any thing.

I am running WIN 8

It doesn't give you any errors and claims the update was succesful, but yet your T2 stays on 8112?

what I was doing is right clicking on the WP7 Cab Sender.bat file and then I picked run as administrator. that is a no no. This time I picked open and every
thing went a ok.
