My Nook HD+ charges off of my TouchPad charger (TouchPad was sold a while back). Like my former TouchPad, the Nook does NOT charge off of most random chargers, including most 2.1amp ones.
Figured I'd mention the Nook chargers for folks that might want to try them with their TouchPads, particularly the car one.
You might also check Staples, they've had the AC charger on clearance for $5 for a while now. Most stores are out of stock, but you could get lucky.
