Nice list btw. Wondering why you don't just delete the boot sounds as opposed to making an extra task to silence your phone on shut down. I'm assuming if you have this many tasks, you must be rooted, but maybe not?
You'd have thought so but I'm actually not rooted. This is my first phone that I've not rooted, I no longer see a major benefit for it

That looks GREAT... how do you do that lol? I suck with scenes -__-
Thanks - it's a rounded rectangle with semi transparency. Overlay, blocking

Text for the menu heading, buttons to close and open settings at the top menu bar

Buttons for each of the apps

It's really simple actually - the trick to making it look nice was the rounded rectangle, dark, semi transparent. The other trick was not resizing and moving things with my finger, using the bottom left menu to switch between normal, resize, and move modes, that helped align the buttons perfectly!

Can u share most of it especially the one where ur phones turns off when you switch if off
That one's really easy

Profile: Device Shutdown
Context: System>Device Shutdown
Task: Silent mode

What other ones would you like to know?

@suparuss, I'd be interested to understand how do you know when Chrome goes incognito?
That's quite easy as well, using AutoNotification as a plug-in to Tasker:

Profile: Incognito watcher
Context: Autonotification Intercept, Notification app: Chrome, Notification title: Chrome, Package Name: com.android.chrome, Get All Fields: true
Task:
If %antext ~ Close all incognito tabs
Media Volume 0
Silent Mode: Vibrate
Flash: Silent mode set
End if

Is anyone else having issues with simple time-related tasks not triggering?

I've got an hourly chime that I've been using for years but now is not working anymore if the screeen is off.

Guys, the workaround I hoped to have found is not working.

Could someone please help me out to find a solution with time-based profiles on S6 5.1.1 ROM?

Thanks!

Has anyone used Tasker with SDMaid to check for when the Scan buttons.l changes to Clean to allow for quick input tap.

Looking to automate this and a few other apps and I'm having no luck getting a way around wait commands.

Just wanted to write an update on my experience with Tasker over the last few weeks... Wow! What an amazing application. You are only limited by your imagination, or, more so, just the ability to figure out exactly how to make it do what you want. I have profiles to turn off my wifi when the screen is off, also night profiles to dim the screen/silence notifications, etc. Those are all common easy things to set up. Then I really got into it - set up a profile that triggers when I tap my nfc keychain to enter car mode. I have a wireless charging dock in my car, and when I get texts they are read aloud to me, and then I'm asked if I want to respond. If I say yes, I then speak my message. My message is read back to me and I'm asked if I want to send or edit. This is a great, truly hands free way of using your phone (especially with new or already existing laws regarding use of phones in cars). I also just set it up (using the autovoice, autolaunch and autoinput plugins) to control the Sonos system in my house. I can say "Play Sonos in the kitchen," or the patio, or the family room, and it will automatically do it. I could also place nfc tags in those rooms to trigger the same tasks as well. Are all these things "necessary"? Maybe not, but for me the coolness factor is off the chart. [emoji2]

Would you be willing to share the profile and the tasks you used to get your sonos to work this way? I've tried but I can't make it work. Thanks in advance.

I'm real late to party, but I'd like the same. I'd also like to know if your SM-G920V was rooted at the time. I have the SM-G950U (S8) that is not rooted, and I've been able to do just about everything you mention EXCEPT input text back to the screen. Tasker->input->type is disabled on non-rooted devices, as is (so I've read) AutoInput->Write->Text. If you, or anyone, knows of a non-rooted way to write text back to screen (let's say results of %avcommnofilter) I'd LOVE to hear it.

For the benefit of anyone else in the same situation, trying to write text into a field using tasker/autoinput on non-rooted device, here is what I figured out to do: https://forum.xda-developers.com/u/...to-screen-rooted-device-t3620540#post72644822

Sorry for the late response (especially @pdane) ... unfortunately, I don't know if I'll be much help, as I've moved out of the house that had the Sonos system. My Galaxy S6 WAS rooted, and I think (at least at that time) that was necessary to create the tasks. I recently got a Galaxy S8+ and tried to restore my backup from Tasker, and continue getting an error. I do apologize. I've had to re-learn Tasker to use it again, as I pretty much set up everything I wanted two years ago and then just let it do its magic. I do wish you the best of luck!
