Anyone mind providing a brief tutorial of how to add the task of pushing the notifications thru tasker and the plugin to the sw2? I have a few basic tasks for my phone currently but am still a noob when it comes to this app! Any help would be great!!

Problem getting app to work with tasker

Hi i've just installed tasker and enabled external access. However i can't seem to get my smartwatch to communicate properly with Tasker. It can see the task but when i run the task nothing happens. The smartwatch app just returns to the previous screen.

Am i missing something?

Cheers

EDIT

Found out the problem, as stated you MUST have Tasker installed BEFOREyou install babanomania's SmartWatch app.
It's strange that a reboot of the watch and phone dosen't fix the problem. If it is a thing that can be fixed then it should - I think that a lot of common users will encounter this problem (and apperantly also experinced it users ^^)

Gonna try to fiddle a bit more around with it - looks promising, diffently a great rewiev coming up og Google Play.
Also is there a donate version of this?

Cheers

I have to wake this thread again.
I'm loving everything you can do with Tasker, and since I cannot (yet) develop my own apps, this is the best solution there is to get my own content to my smartwatch. However, I still have some questions since I'm not getting the full potential here. First, does the extension not allow tasks like snapping a picture from stand-by or letting the phone say something? All that works as far as I've tested is toggling data and wi-fi for example, the basic tasks. I would've loved to use Tasker to its full potential in combination with my Sony Smartwatch 2, but it seems that either I'm missing something, or it's just not possible. So please tell me which of these it is :silly:

And secondly, how does one actually push full notifications to the watch? I've looked at that thing on GitHub but I seriously have no idea how to implement that in Tasker, or what to do with it anyway. So if anyone knows and is friendly as to let me (and probably others) know, well, thanks a bunch in advance :good::cyclops:

P.S. Is the app still only capable of running tasks in the list, without another interface? I would love some scrollable touch buttons as well to configure myself (very much like these Media Control buttons).

Yes the app only runs app from the list, I would love to change the ui to something cooler, but have found some better ideas yet

For push notifications to the watch from tasker I once made a tasker notification app, have you tried ?

I guess not, then. I only have the Tasker 'tasks' extension installed. Where can I find this notification application? And any ideas about my other questions? :good::silly:

EDIT: I see, you made two posts without quoting me. That's why I did not see.

I'm guessing your a good person to ask about this seeing as you can send notifications and have tasker integration in your app. Is it possible to develop a tasker plugin that just sends a vibrate command to the smartwatch?

Just a quick question:

Does the Smart Notifier not allow notifications like %BATT or other Tasker variables to pass the actual value to the SmartWatch?
Right now I set it up to notify the phone which, in combination with Watchify, is able to pass the battery percentage for example. The Notifier has huge potential if I can just find out how to pass these Tasker variables to the SmartWatch without using separate apps like I do now

Thanks in advance!

Request: please recognize Tasker variables, as that would make it roughly a thousand times more useful =)
looks like notifier version 1.0.5 supports variables. very helpful as I can now get my touchdown emails/calendar alerts to show up on my sw2 (big thanks and just got the donator app!).

I did have a question, how can I get one of the three buttons to "dismiss" the notification that just came in?
