I tried uninstall the preloaded app through adb, install different version, but it's a no go. I do believe that Netflix simply blocks any Android tablet with an unauthorized preloaded Netflix app...
The problem is not Netflix app, the app preinstalled is simply an old version.
The fact that you can update through PlayStore means is signed with the same key so it's an authentic app from Netflix.

Mine has no Netflix preload and won't let me download it from playstore.

Xiaoxin 2021 870/oled, global rom, from aliexpress

What's a safe source to download Netflix apk from?

Also, I get a "device not compatible" issue when trying to find Rakuten Viki from Google Play via "Library" (search won't show it at all), is that the same thing? Any idea of a safe source to load that from?

Amazon Prime video installs but plays in atrocious quality

apkmirror.com

You can read my previous posts for a way to have your device certified and solve the PlayStore problems but I am not sure is going to work for your tablet.

Also that method is going to force a factory reset and I think in some cases that messes up the security app for your tablet.

Lenovo P11 Pro has now gone from widevine l1 to l3

Not being able to install from the store was not an issue for l1 for almost a year? Only noticed after December sec patch + play store patch.

DRM info app shows the tablet has widevine L1 though ... So maybe something to do with the device ID and Netflix? Notice the apps are reporting diff system ids

I don't think it's related to updates, you can check also this thread

Is your tablet Xiaoxin Pad Pro or Lenovo Tab P11 Pro?

Xiaoxin pad pro. Seems to be a common issue. Was fine before the update as I was not getting the OTA from November/Dec was toying with sideload but decided not to as Netflix was L1 and tab was also now play certified.

I think this is the problem, because my two cellphone system id is the same with Netflix, so they show L1,but tablet system show different system id like your situation.

It's not related with the last update, I think is something server side from either Netflix or Lenovo.

I have two tablets both TB-J706F, one updated and one not but I lost L1 in both.

Do you still have L1 in Netflix?
I saw the answer in the other thread.

So no matter on which firmware, now everyone lost Netflix L1 ?? and cannot restore? ......
Arrrr...... I just brough this tablet because
1). it has OLED and HDR + Netflix Cert......
2). Year End discount @ RMB 1369 (around USD 215) with free shipping, back cover and screen protect
Then NV write to change Regional Code, Flash from ZUI to ROW, Change country code from CN to HK............
Result still no HDR.............i want to cry.........

did you get the 2020 or 2021 model?
normally with the 2020 model you don't need to flash other roms, just change the country code.
for the rest... well let's hope lenovo does something about it :(

The one I got is 2020 China Model, that why I need to flash to Global ROM in order to get fully working Google Play

TB-J716F has never been released globally.

So I am quite sure that your rom is not global rom. The global rom of this model not exist yet.

That is why the Netflix is not preload. All global rom Lenovo Tablets have Netflix preinstalled.

You can try other way to install Netflix. But I highly suspect that your system is the main reason.

Lenovo has released the update which should fix the problem.
I haven't tried it yet because I have rooted my device, so I'm unsure if that will wotk.

    Finally!!
I haven't received any update though... Maybe in a few days.

I'm still waiting for the OTA...
There must be a way to fool the system...

    From Lenovo Forum:

"our technicians have confirmed that they have identified the root cause for the behavior described in this discussion and that they are currently working on a fix for this symptom. We do not have an ETA for the fix yet, but I keep this item high on my priority list and will continue inquiring about the current status."

Let me know if yours stays, maybe we can figure it out what's different.

You are right, there happens something in the background.
I have NOT played any movies for about 3~4 hours and now the 7.120.0 downgraded itself to L3.

The app also got a new menu entry "playback specification", after updateting from 6.26.1 to 7.120.0 this entry is NOT displayed.

I really like this kind of "service". You pay a lot of money and they just decide to change what you have to use.
It's like you buy a 80" TV and a week later it shrinks it self to 19" ...
