You can switch back and forth from global to ZUI with or without the bootloader being locked.
Does this imply that an already-unlocked bootloader is maintained when flashing the global rom? Or once the global rom is flashed, do you see the same as us with official global hardware + global rom where OEM unlocking is greyed out and fastboot unlock commands fail

Seems to me that OEM lock is not the same as bootloader lock. So unlock commands fails because its still unlock at bootloader level.

I was wondering if we would get L1 back if we use the service tool Lenovo sends temporary credentials to when we contact them via their rescue tool. Wanna try that? I will be traveling this week so I can't test it but is a good try.

I have sold the tablet with L3. So I wont be able to test it. But if someone has the same problem could work. I don't know if the tool they send Is similar to flashing ZUI with SP. If so have tried that and didn't work.

Not so good news guys! A user from 4pda downloaded the latest update for the global and tried to flash it and seems like Lenovo "fixed" the trick I found and it's no longer working. This is the problem with sharing knowledge online. lol

I'll be off for a few days so I can't resume testing new tricks, but I'll keep checking to see if we have more good news for our loved Chinese TB132FU. Again, don't be afraid of playing with the system. This is the fun part!

The trick Is the exclusion of lk_a? Seems that will be all on ZUI if we want updates...

I have no knowledge to help solve how to transform chinese to global fully. But Im sure that you or someone in the community will be able to do it.

In the meanwhile I'm contacting lenovo on every single channel they have, telling them that they should give technichal support to those who bought their tablet online (AliExpress).

It will affect brand reputation if our interaction with their products is limited or faulty, hence affecting potential sales of other Lenovo products.

I bought my unit via aliexpress, it came with the fake global. I installed the ZUI by the third method, the bootloader already blocked automatically, later I installed the global TB132FU_S000094 Global. Everything working perfectly, L1, HDR, Pen and Keyboard. The only thing I noticed was that watching movies on Disney+, but if I activate the phone via bluetooth, or turn off the sound later, it works. Other than that everything working. (Note: Update came but I didn't install it on your recommendation.)

Thanks to everyone who helped with this guide.

I asked my AliExpress seller how I can go back to ZUI 14 and he sent me the link of this forum but also gave me the GDrive link with flashing tools, I attached it to the message in case it helps or interests anyone.

Is there a repository of where we can download older TB132FU global versions and flash them using the instructions from post 1?

It has come to my attention that in a recent update (i.e maybe this version of TB132FU_S000094_221117_ROW) Lenovo has blocked the possibility to use MPP 2.0 stylus pens (i.e even the Precision Pen 2) other than the Precision Pen 3. People from Reddit have confirmed that their other pens (e.g Surface Pen and PPen 2.0) used to work, but after a recent update they don't work anymore. Though their other pens work by having to first pair a Precision Pen 3, you still have to either buy one or try to find one. This really pisses me off and I hate these types of tactics. Not to mention that in the EU it's sold out everywhere and you can't find it.

In my case, I am using this version and can pair a Surface Pen, but that's it. I can't write, draw, or do anything with it.

NEW: Install official Global ROM on Chinese TB132FU running ZUI 14 or Fake global

DISCLAMER: Flashing on TB132FU is pretty much safe and a hard brick has not occured yet, but do it at your own risk. If anything goes wrong you can return to ZUI 14 using one of the restoration methods listed on the FAQ thread. ALL YOUR FILES WILL BE DELETED. Make a backup of your personal files before proceeding.

    Current version: TB132FU_S000094_221117_ROW
To see what works and what doesn't check below.

To flash this version you will need:

    1 - A computer running Windows
2 - Flashtool (attached to the thread)
3 - ADB drivers or UsbDk drives & MTK drivers
4 - ZUI 14 installed on your TB132FU. If you have fake global you can flash as well, but having ZUI is recommended.
    5 - Firmware file
6 - Attention to the really detailed tutorial below. :)

    How to flash

    Preparation:
1 - Download and install the drivers provided above. If you already have them installed skip this step.
2 - On your computer create a folder on your Desktop. Name it LENOVO.
3 - Download the firmware file (download link provided above) and un-zip it inside the LENOVO folder on your desktop. So inside your LENOVO folder now you should have a folder called TB132FU_S000094 Global.
4 - Download the attached flash tool and un-zip it inside the LENOVO folder on your desktop. Now you have a folder called TB132FU_S000094 Global and a folder called MTK_Flashtool.
5 - Power off your TB132FU and disconnect it from your computer in case you have it connected.

    Flashing:
1 - Go to the LENOVO folder, and open the folder MTK-Flashtool. Inside this folder find flash_tool and double-click to open it.
2 - Once it opens click the TAB download. Do not click the green arrow.
3 - For the Download agent click Choose. Navigate to your Desktop > Lenovo > MT_Flashtool and select the file MTK_AllInOne_DA_onyx_signed
4- For Scatter-loading file click Choose. Navigate to your Desktop > Lenovo > TB132FU_S000094 Global and select MT6893_Android_scatter.txt. You will see two files with the same name. Click the one with the paper with lines icon. Wait for it to load.
5 - For Authentication File click Choose. Navigate to your Desktop > Lenovo > MT_Flashtool and select the file auth_sv5
6 - You will see white and green lines below. Scroll down and find the line that starts with lk_a and UNMARK it. All the other options should be marked, only lk_a should be unmarked.
    Ex:
    Sem título.png

7 - Click the green arrow DOWNLOAD and plug in your tablet. Wait until it completes flashing the firmware.
    And done. Once it is finished you can unplug your tablet and turn it on. You now should be running the latest global rom on your TB132FU;

    What works:
    Google Sync
    HDR with true black
    Productivity mode (PC mode)
And almost everything else. I'm still testing it.

    What doesn't work:
OTA - once a new update is available it will be needed to be flashed manually losing all data. OTA did not work on a previous version.
Ultra-fast charging. It has Rapid charge but not the super fast charging available on ZUI
Some users reported L1 when flashing this global.
For users who lost L1 status, no solution to get it back from L3 yet. :/
"Scroll to the left" on the home screen to access the media center will not turn off even if you try manually setting it as off.
Time-zone issue: Factory reset it after the first boot to get it fixed.
You tell me what else is not working.
    4
I tried flashing another users back up but got a error message, same error lots of user reported when we were trying to flash a backup. I tried several methods to bypass the writing error with no success. Then unzipped the ROM 1 file and manually flashed all files possible via fastboot. It would not boot, but if I flashed ZUI on top of it I would get the user's serial number and L3 still.

    About lk_a:
If you open both lk_a files from official ZUI and Global on HxD you will be able to find the code that might be responsible for the hardware and geo location code. The device's info (if Chinese or global) is in a partition I'm not familiar with and have no idea how to access or edit. If you check it you will see basically a code saying ex.: "check if partition ZZZZ says XXXX_PCR if not, display error message."
I was able to identify that Global is ROW (of course) and Chinese is PRC. I tried changing the code to remove this blocker from lk_a but it would not boot after flashing the full room with the edited lk file. So if someone has more tech knowledge about partitions you could check the code on the lk files and try to modify it. This will turn the device into a "original" Global and OTA would be able to work just fine.

Just updating the file via HxD did not work unless missed something.

About flashing a backup to try getting L3 back:
If someone was able to write someone else's backup with no error let me know. Flashing your own backup doesn't count, sorry. We need a successful story of a user flashing someones backup and how they did it.

About more tests on my end: I'm pausing tests for now as I already spent lots of days finding unexplored solutions for our tablet. So I invite you to try things as well and post your results. Again: is safe to play with the tablet so far. So please be curious!

    Good luck everyone!

    Thanks for the detailed explanation.

Some cuestions that you may have an answer for:

    1. Has the bootloader to be unlock? What happens if I have the bootloader lock? (I lock mine with zui 14 in order to get L1)
    2. Is there a way to change region code like in others lenovo models? Will it have any impact on OTAs?
    3. Can you rollback to zui 14?

Thanks in advance. I think that will be able to have a full working rom with OTAs and L1 eventually. This is a huge step forward
1 - You don't need the bootloader to be unlocked to flash this global version. I had Zui 14 with a locked bootloader and OEM locked, and the flashing worked. The OEM toggle will not be available once you use this version. It says you need to connect to the internet or contact your carrier.
2 - No way to change the region code so far. OTA will not work as described. It was tested on an older version. It will download and try to install but will fail. This is the latest rom so no OTA updates so far, we will have to wait to see if it will be the same.
3 - Yes, you can roll back to Zui 14. I did that quite a few times during my tests. Bricked the device more than 20 times and was always able to roll back to ZUI.

    @tylerdanarg
Just got mine, also on TB132FU_S300062_220921_ROW. (Fake Global ?) Most interested in seeing yours reach the finish line in one piece. So I'm lurking for now...
If you wanna have L1 and Google play certification with an official global rom, you should flash the CN ROM first, then lock the bootloader and finally flash the official global rom without lk_a file.
    This Is what I did.

Never format the ROM! That is what took L3 out of mine.
    3
Alright to help others in the same situation as @tylerdanarg and myself:

Purchased "Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022 6GB 128GB ROM MediaTek 1300T" via Aliexpress with "Global Rom".
Mine shipped from France for about 312 euro and included an unofficial case (not recommended).

Build is TB132FU_S300062_220921_ROW. Netflix is L1, charging is at 20W, not 30W and some HDR content is washed out. TLDR; Pretty outdated, some bugs and no OTA, ever.

For the AliExpress seller to ship it out like this ADB is already enabled and the bootloader is already unlocked.

    Stuff you need:

    - 1) Download & install "UniversalAdbDriverSetup.msi".
    - 1) Download and extract the official Android platform tools & USB drivers:
This will actually give you fastboot, unlike the "universal" drivers from clockwork linked in the 1st post.

    - 2) Download & install "Mediatek_Driver_Auto_Installer_v1.1352.zip".
    - 3) Download & extract "TB132FU_CN_OPEN_USER_ZUI_14.0.691_ST_221117.rar" with password "XDAfpm".
    - 4) Download & extract "TB132FU_S000094 Global.rar".
    - 5) Download & run "flashtool.rar" (MTK_flashtool_V1.2152 -> flash_tool.exe).

For actually flashing the device, follow the guide in the first post.

Now to get to the latest global version with Widevine L1 intact:

    - 1) We need to flash the CN ZUI14 rom (with lk_a).
    - 2) reboot into bootloader via either
    A) adb command: "adb reboot bootloader"
    B) turn device off, hold volume up + power

    - 3) Lock the bootloader. ("fastboot flashing lock")
If fastboot isn't working check if windows device manager shows unknown device or exclamation mark. If so assign it the android adb driver manually.

    - 4) Flash the global rom (without lk_a).
    - 5) Factory reset.
