Im in chinese version, last update via ota, every thing ok, L1 etc., but youtube app only shows 1080p resolution, no more, and look so washed (not about black but about resolution or contrast, i dont know).
Any solution?

Good news team! With the help of user @ug0o we have a global version being tested on our TB132FU. It's an older version of the firmware but I'm trying to get that fixed.

So far no updates, and L3 for netflix. The rom recognazes the update but fails to install. I'm performing some tests and waiting for autorization on sharing the rom. I'll keep you posted.

Hello world! I'm happy to announce that I was finally able to get the latest Global official firmware working on the Chinese version of our TB13FU. The only two issues so far is L3 for netflix (investigating still) and no OTA updates. (at least is the latest version and we can try update manually once a new update is available).

I was able to flash TB132FU_S000034 with the help of user @ug0o but after two days of hard work investigating, I was able to flash latest TB132FU_S000094_221117_ROW.

I'll perform tests this week to see if stable, if so, I'll share it on Frinday. Please be free to ask if anything is working. I don't have the pen so that's a no. I also don't have the official keyboard. Be free to send gifts lol

I tested just a little yesterday, but the L1, precision pen 3 and desktop mode are ok. I don't noticied any bug with HDR yet (some suggestion to test it and I reported the results here).

This might be a new lot with a newer ROM, still the chinese model running a globalized rom. I tested a backup of this rom and encountered the same issue with OTA. You can update to the newer rom on the link above. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get OTA to work in either version.

Hi there fellows !
Just created an account here to detail all the display problems on the Global version of this tablet that i just received (Lenovo Pad Pro 11 Gen 2)
Using the latest firmware available being TB132FU_S000094_221117_ROW

- 120Hz/60Hz displays completely different. Seems 120Hz has a kind of blooming/light trails on it, mostly visible when watching dark movies in dark environment, which gives the impression of a cheap local dimming TV. Switching to 60Hz mostly solve it but the color balance is this mode seems to be different as well. The difference is easy to spot : just put dark mode on and switch between 60/120 and notice how darker 60Hz is.
- All streaming services default to very low resolution everytime i open a video. I have to wait 2 minutes to get the HD one visually. This is not a wifi problem ofc, as all speedtests results are around 500mb/sec
- No HDR on Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video ; Netflix is L1 and detects Dolby Vision but it seems to be very broken (got a kind of a red tone on dark scenes and lots of artifacts).
- All my Dolby Vision mkv crash when opening them using multiple players like Kodi or Nova. Maybe the tablet doesn't support DV Bluray profiles ? Edit : Fixed this point by using JustPlayer, DV mkv now work ok.

First time buying an HDR/DV tablet, let's say the experience is far from being convincing.
So far, no way to fix these issues sadly...

Its supposedly using the global rom, however given that i understand the chinese rom should have both chinese and english, whats the advantages of using the global rom?

I understand that the global rom doesn't allow for OTA updates whereas the official china rom does.
i do want google play store so supposedly i could install this ontop of the china rom?

would it be better to flash back the original china rom when i recieve the tablet next week? and is there any instructions on how i would be able to do this?

The global ROM also has Productivity mode which is replaced by Study mode in the CN ROM. The other thing is the font used - the global ROM uses proper font for english alphabets, while the CN ROM uses Chinese font and therefore some non-alphanumeric letter such as (') looks a little bit weird. Google Playstore can be installed in CN ROM. And I think I read somewhere that the CN ROM provides better performance.

The only reason I changed mine to global is because of Device control and Google Assistant as I control a lot of things in my home using Google.

There is a FAQ with lots of information here at the forum. Click Lenovo P11 to see all the threads and find the one I created. There are 3 ways to go back to ZUI 14.

I have exactly that on my tablet on complete dark scenes with just one or two elements displayng on screen (like a white title on a fully dark background).
It seems to affect a lot of people on the Global rom.
