I don't know if Lenovo checks this forum, but my biggest issue is the fact that the tablet doesn't connect to my 5ghz ssid/wifi/network name. I really want the tablet to receive higher internet speeds, but alas I've tried resetting and it doesn't fix it. I'm highly confident its a firmware issue, because I've tried resetting (it works in the beginning, then functionality goes away after an hour and never works again) and updated to the latest version, but alas nothing has fixed it. I know the tablet works with some Chinese wifi channels, but I wish they can just update the firmware, so it can work with USA wifi channels. I'm pretty sure I bought the international version, so maybe a firmware update can fix its compatibility. If you read this Lenovo, then thank you for reading our concerns.
Works fine for me, try changing your 5Ghz channels.

Lenovo has their own forums that caters to international versions, not the Chinese ones.

Some of the router could set the region. If yours is capable, try that.

It's the channel your 5ghz band is broadcasting on. The Chinese rom tablets won't connect to channels used in other countries due to radio signal regulations. Many routers allow you to change the channel within the admin gateway. Changing it to a higher channel such as 36, 40, 44, & 48 should force it to be visible to the tablet. For public wifi sadly there's not such an easy fix, but at least you can get your home wifi sorted.

I have the TB138FC Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022 running 14.0.820 ST ZUI 14.

Physical keyboard misbehaves with some apps. When I have display on-screen keyboard to off, get a blank screen on a lot of apps. Resolved by switching on screen keyboard to yes even when physical keyboard is connected, but it kills a lot of screen real estate.

Not sure on the fix. Has anyone had similar problems?

Are you using Gboard? What apps that had the issue?

So far from my experience, those apps that I'm using had no problem on the physical keyboard input.

Hmm... I'm not using Facebook... Not sure how this happen. Do you want to clear storage of the Facebook and login again?
It just crashes when I make a phone call on messenger. It's the same error with instagram . But I have no problem with another app like google meet , line ..etc.. I think it blocks calls from facebook and instagram because It's rom from china .

I am not sure about this. Could you try to call via facebook or instagram ? I need to make sure that error by ROM. I don't have any friend use TB138FC to test it .
I've tested it with my wife on Facebook Messenger and we could talk and even video call too.

For Instagram, I do not know how to make call with it, so could not test it.

Do you mind to share the error screenshot here?

Hi all ,
i am looking to buy LENOVO Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2022 SD870,
and i have a few questions,
1. It is still worth to buy it ? at price of 313 usd ?
2. the stock rom (chinese rom) support widevine L1?
3. maybe i need to buy the tablet cpu 1300T ? and change the region lock https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ass-lenovos-region-lock-row-zui-easy.4487871/
Hello!
My thoughts:
1. It is still worth to buy. On AliExptress the best price during Ali's birthday festivals (with promo codes, coupons) I found exceeds USD 320. Without VAT! So for USD 313 it is wrth to buy.
2. the stocl Chinese ROM supports Widevine L1.
3. back to point 1. Model TB138FC (with SD870) works fine for me in English, no bloatware or Chinese apps.

Is there a way to have native app that does not support full screen in landscape mode (i.e. Instagram, shopee) to display in full?

Hi, new owner of SD870 version of this tablet. Thanks for the guide on getting Google Play Store working.

I have an issue with spell checker on almost all the apps. There's no Spell Checker option in the Language & Input. I'm using Gboard and have the Spell Check option turned on. But in app such as Firefox browser it doesn't show red underline for mistyped word. I somehow managed to enable it on Brave browser, it open Setting app and show a prompt asking the app (presumably Gboard) can capture all the typed words and if I will allow it. After I press allow Brave browser now have spell check. But I can't remember what I pressed that make it show the prompt and unable to have the same thing happened on Firefox. If anyone know how to enable spell check I would be very grateful.

Maybe the more correct question should be is there Spell Checker option in the Language & Input on you guys tablet? I might have install wrongly on the Google apps that caused it to not show the Spell Checker or maybe because it is China OS.

    Good news!

The beta testing of the new firmware has begun.

The main testing is on the new PC Mode.

So far are not sure how the update will be. But if it is still ZUI 14, I bet it will be incremental.

But if it is ZUI 15, I'm pretty sure it will be full ROM.

Let's wait for the official and I will copy the update package file to host in cloud for you.
After all, on the screen you can see that it is unfortunately ZUI 14

I just bump into their Weibo official account time to time and saw that info. If you could read Chinese, you could go in here.
I really appreciate your informations, I hope they'll soon release the full ROM package when ZUI 15 release, so user can fix the immature software issue by their own.
I wasn't expecting that Lenovo is more less put attention about this one, which in Xiaomi brand will give better support regarding ROM package (maybe it's because from the beginning, Xiaomi focusing on their mobile products).

Instructions for getting root TB138FC runing ZUI 14

    Read carefully:

All actions below are at your own risk. I did this and above posted Magisk patched boot.img for firmware 14.0.820.

    UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER:
    * This will delete all you data

    [ . . . ]

Wait for it to complete then:

Awesome guide @BlackVictor , I rewrote it on Rentry to make it a little more clear and better visuals.

PM me if you need to edit :)

Instructions for getting root TB138FC runing ZUI 14

    Read carefully:

All actions below are at your own risk. I did this and above posted Magisk patched boot.img for firmware 14.0.820.

    UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER:
    * This will delete all you data

Step 1: Go to SETTINGS Menu and click multiple times on your ZUI version. This will give you Developer access.
Step 2: Go General Settings menu > Developer options
Step 3: Click to enable OEM unlocking, also enable debugging mode.
Step 4: Download platform-tools_r34.0.1-windows to your computer, you may also need usb_driver_r13-windows, unpack everything in a convenient place for you
Step 5: Go to the platform-tools folder and run the command prompt by writing CMD in the folder header and press Enter
Step 6: Connect your USB cable and run the following command:
    adb reboot bootloader

Step 7: Run the following command:
    fastboot flashing unlock

On your tablet Click volume UP to unlock your bootloader
Wait for the confirmation on the tablet screen

    Step 8: Run command:

    GETTING ROOT ACCESS:
Put your Qualcomm device in 9008 mode
    * You may need a qualcomm usb driver for 9008 mode to work properly

Step 1: Turn off the power, then hold Volume UP and insert the USB cable connected to the PC into the tablet
Step 2: Use the EMMCDL_GUI tool to dump partitions boot_a and boot_b

In the program, select the brand Lenovo, model TB-J716F and download the file 29-11-2022_19-32-13_prog_firehose_ddr.elf
Then you need to select the physical partition number 4, select the UFS memory type, and click get GPT partition table
In the list, select the boot_a and boot_b sections and click read from device in the context menu
The resulting partition dumps will be located at \EMMCDL_GUI_1.5\Temp
Disconnect the tablet from the PC, hold volume DOWN and power button for ~10 seconds until you feel the vibration

Step 3: When the tablet boots into the system, enable USB debugging via ADB in the developer settings

Go to the folder with platform tools and start the command line by writing CMD in the folder header

Enter the command to determine the effective slot:
adb shell getprop | grep slot
If you see ro.boot.slot_suffix=_b, then the system is running on slot b. If ro.boot.slot_suffix=_a then slot a
Install the latest version of MAGISK manager app on your tablet
Copy the current boot_*.bin to your tablet (Instead of an * , select your version received by the grep slot command)
Open MAGISK and click Select and patch a file. Find the boot_*.bin you copied and patch this file. Wait for the process to be completed
Copy Magisk patched boot from the Download folder on your device to the platform-tools folder on your PC, then rename it to boot.img

In the command line window on the computer, enter the command:
    adb reboot bootloader

When the tablet boots into fastboot mode, enter the command:
    fastboot flash boot boot.img

Wait for it to complete then:
Done, your tablet is now rooted

    Good Day !
Are we have any chance to active google account in this tablet ? or any international ROM to solve this issue ?
It did work with the following steps:
    1. Install Google Playstore apk (from APKMirror and look for ARM64-v8a architecture)
    2. Install Google Play Services apk (from APKMirror and look for ARM64-v8a architecture)
    3. Install Google Services Framework 12 apk (from APKMirror and look for ARM64-v8a architecture)
    4. Turn on the Google Basic Services:
Settings -> Apps management -> 3 dots on the top right -> Google Basic Services
    Screenshot_20221014-112129.png
