Thanks for quick response... I am upgrading to v315 some users mentioned in thread v315 has SPDIF issue in that case i will downgrade to v256 which is factory updated version in my region.

1. is it safe keeping in view of my c725 current details?
2. Also in case of downgarde via usb img method will it remove netflix ESN? (what is netflix ESN used for i see some users have ESN field empty)

@stasiof i have successfully updated my tv to v315 but as expected my Netflix ESN has been removed. Can you please help me install it via some settings or any method for it?

Try to reflash firmware.
No special method to display,anyway Netflix will work.
You have also V272 and V309 IMG file...

Try launching the Netflix app, you can find it there as well /help>device/. It also happened to me that the ESN was displayed in the info only later.
"Netflix identifies your device by its Electronic Serial Number (ESN), which is assigned by the device manufacturer"

No special method to display,anyway Netflix will work.

Thanks for help @stasiof & @Rajsko .... After update ESN was removed... Then using service menu i reset the device and done shop reset. After restart and initial setup, same ESN was restored by device itself.

Hello good evening. I have a TCL P725. I can't get it to work normally with any version. I tried versions v477, v481, v488, v496, they all have the same problem, when Dolby Vision is activated it starts to automatically raise and lower the brightness, super annoying. I went back to v418, but objects or people have an aura around them, like a phantom specter around people or objects. Can someone tell me if there is a stable version without these problems or any solution? Please

Yeah..idem. Me too.. new f/w offer smoother interface w/ some issues which is very disturbing.. however, I'll try re download 488,496 .. if the prob still appear to be same (dolby vision and google voice). Hmmm..I should back to stock firmware. Thats it all..

This thread interesting btw..I like try something new.

And again..I assure u that 496 is very smooth and fast as well?!!

Read description to flash proper (older) IMG file first ,as update from newer version is getting black screen.

Hi everyone,
So I've been having shimmering issues with games that have a performance mode (Ex: HFW or Death Stranding). I've looked around but didn't find any video with the same issue as mine.
I have a TCL C728 (firmware V8-T615-T03.LF1V440.000301) compatible with the PS5 (VRR, Hdmi 2.1, ALLM,....) Here's a video with the issue on HFW, when I move the camera you can see the brightness get's higher around darker areas and in some places you can clearly see a bright halo following through distant objects.
I'm playing on performance mode ([email protected]) With VRR on, tried to set sharpening on my tv to 0 but nothing, tried to play around certains Tv settings still nothing.
The thing is I don't have the problem with VRR off.

Here's to hoping if anyone managed to find a solution or more details on the problem (Problem with the TV? The game? Both?)

hello, I need help, my tv has this problem, it looks like a filter on the image, it can be solved by rewinding the video, but it happens again randomly, the system does not have the problem, only the content.
It happens to me since I returned to V435, also in V482

Btw.. I've tried V488 and V496 ..but not V482 since it need stock or lower version.. thanks for suggest. But..I have no idea .. i forgot what version of my TV TCL Q725 / C725 (GTV) ?! I already ask TCL SC here,.. hope they sent technician n bring me the stock ROM .. I will save on my PC, just in case sh*t happen again like this..so I can easily back to stock..and maybe I dont care anymore about latest update.. since it bring to us a LOT of issues.

What happen to TCL? This is global issues when they make new update..as always. I read it when googling on comparison thread, review etc.

For my case..I just mention it that I found another problem on game master no have any function, cannot activate all of it setting.
(Beside my problem w/ google voice)

I also read back page in this thread that dolby vision problem,..cannot active, too dark, dolby atmos not work,hdmi not work, etc.I havent try it however,.. I rarely use this TV for these time.

So folks, if you wanna try legit latest update. I suggest all of you to prepare/know/have stock ROM from factory. So U can enjoy newest update from TCL.

Know I understand why TCL rarely give us an global update since it lot of issue, just wondering how U get it?!

I hope all members here to be wise in modified their TV as a toy?!

I have a C727 which uses the same firmware... I've tried multiple versions, both Android and Google TV and gone back to Android TV v277. Everything after that does not pass through the digital audio properly to my amp which is disappointing. I would have hoped the latest version of GTV (496) would resolve all issues but alas no. Looks like I'm staying on ATV.
