TCL 2021 Android/Google TVs (P725/C725/C728/C825/X925)

Sorry but i have a question can i update with this firmware if i use the latin american firmware?

For X925 is only global firmware and latest is V143.

Hi

I have a 55C725K (so UK version) that has just received an automatic update from TCL recently. Not surprisingly, a tv that worked, now doesnt work properly haha. I cant control my soundbar as it would connect via CEC (it worked fine before), so I've had to resort to plugging a headphone jack in to mute the TV speakers (thanks to the poster above).

Now, I can obviously downgrade back to the previous firmware, but I wondered if anyone has tried the normal C725 firmware on a K (UK version) model and didnt end up bricking the tv or anything, or if its even possible to load non UK firmware?

I appreciate this has been asked before, but I couldnt find anything recent, so just wondered if things have changed?

My TCL 50P615 recently upgraded to android11 and since then the OTT Platinum app that no longer opens.
Does anyone know of a compatible APK version ?
Or a way to get the TV to revert to android 9 ??

Yes, you can flash V143 IMG (R51MT06).

Way to return to Android 9, is with V660 or V662 IMG file.

Hello, im using TCL C725 with V477 firmware, i have a problem with the display that showing green and purple texture, while playing certain games in 4k resolution.. many TCL user has this problem like shown in this reddit thread : https://www.reddit.com/r/reddeadredemption/comments/9lfccn
according to the reply on that thread, many ppl fix the problem by changing the picture size, from auto to normal, but i cant find the picture size menu on my C725. all i can find is aspecr ratio menu that doesnt have "normal" options, only 16:9, 4:3, Zoom, Zoom wide, etc..

did u know which firmware that still have picture size menu? can my TV downgrade to that firmware?
im frustated when playing forza horizon 5 on my series X, seeing green and purple texture everywhere.. please help me tyvm, and sry for my bad english

Probably is not in TV setting, must be in game console setting or even on game picture ,when playing.

I wanted to know if recently anyone knows if normal C725 firmware works on UK versions? The most recent "K" firmware you've listed is bugged and worse than the previous firmware.

I personally use the Google TV V8-R51MT05-LF1V481.020701 in the TCL 50C725 and it works fine for me.
