TCL 2022 Google TVs (P635/P735/C635/C735/C835/C935)

I tryed to update my C635 for the first time manually with OTA file V559, but whenever i Try to update local or with power button on tv, message appears saying there is no update avalable or don't find any update file on USB drive...
Tryed to re-dowload some times but, it fails all the time.
Why this happens? Any Ideias.
TV came with version V508.

Can you be more specific? what should I looking for? file system is FAT32

V559 OTA zip file is on USB ?
TV recognise USB when inserted ?

Tv setting...software update...local update.
Try other TV USB input.....
Reformat USB again or try other brand.

Yes, extrated the zip file on USB, and the usb is recognized when inserted on port, so it's why don's understand it's says no update found.
Reformated usb drive,inserted also in the port 3.0, even with a previous update the V523, but get same message that no update is found.

May it's a problem with pen USB, will try again when get a new pen from other brand.
What pen is best, what brand do you recomend?

It starts to get very confusing for me with these numbers, latest OTA was V562 with same build date, now V511...which is the newest ?! No release notes of course, as always...worst support ever in my experience !

It starts to get very confusing for me with these numbers, latest OTA was V562 with same build date, now V511...which is the newest ?! No release notes of course, as always...worst support ever in my experience !

V469...V474.....V503.....V511.......2022 TV models (e.g C835)
V558...V562.......2023 TV models (e.g C845)

As is same platform.... T615T03, can be installed on last year (and 2021) models.

How do I disable weird backlight change. When I watch netflix in dolby atmos, changing scenes brightnesses the subtitle and scenes. I mean subtitle is sometimes full white, sometimes greyed outz It is annoying.

I did that yesterday without any issues. From v508 to v559 OTA via local update. Must be an issue with your USB stick...

I have the same issue on my C635 with v559. No idea how to fix this...

V469...V474.....V503.....V511.......2022 TV models (e.g C835)
V558...V562.......2023 TV models (e.g C845)

As is same platform.... T615T03, can be installed on last year (and 2021) models.

Ok, but what if a 2023 models firmware is installed on 2022 model, like C735 ? Is it a bad idea and should we stick to the regular one, although it seems to work normal ?

You can install either version, no problem.

I did that yesterday without any issues. From v508 to v559 OTA via local update. Must be an issue with your USB stick...

The problem, was that I extracted the zip file to the usb stick, that was my mistake, now all ok, sorted out. Updated to V559 without any problems.
All ok now.
I see that the is a new V560 update, althoug this is an IMG file. Any big improvments with this update?

Hello all. I'm a newbie here and I'm trying to find a solution to my problem.
I recently (few days back) bought a 65p635 google TV, and everything works fine except from ARC that is connected to a Samsung 5.1 home theater. My previous TV, a Samsung UE55HU6900, was working perfectly with it.
The problem is that although the sound passes through ARC, the audio channels aren't working properly. While testing with Dolby 5.1 audio test or Netflix test patterns, the center channel gives audio to the rear speakers also, the rear speakers channels give audio to the front also and the sub doesn't give audio at all.
I tried all the settings available. Enabling CEC, disabling CEC and sending TV audio to ARC from the menu with passthrough and auto setting. I disabled also eARC (a feature the receiver does not have). All give the same result.
I updated from v63 to v69. Made HDMI reset and software reset but to no avail.
I also tried optical cable (just for testing because the optical is used by my PC), and the channels are working fine! But the audio comes from the TV speakers also. They cannot be disabled in the menu and there isn't an option to exclusively select optical for audio output .
Does anyone have the same issue?

You need to calibrate your AV receiver by the sounds of it.

There isn't anything to calibrate to the AV receiver unfortunately... You either enable CEC or/and Audio Return Chanel. It reproduces the audio the tv sends via passthrough arc (it can decode Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD, DTS Digital Surround, DTS 96 / 24,DTS-HD Master Audio)

Hi. So I installed V562 on C735. Since this seems to be update for newer versions of TV, is it possible to switch back to normal V511? I don't think firmware updating supports downgrade to lower firmware version. Thank you for response.

You can download with any IMG file (T615T03).
