Here I pulled this from:

"Before flashing, you need Create a full backup of the firmware.
The battery must be 100% charged.

1. Flashing your phone using CWM Recovery
2. Flashing the phone using TWRP Recovery
3. Flashing the phone using Fastboot Mobilexfiles.com

1. Phone flashing using CWM Recovery The rich functionality of CWM Recovery www.clockworkmod.com allows you to perform many manipulations with the device, including rolling the firmware. By default, stock Recovery is installed in the devices, which means that first you need to install the ClockWorkMod Recovery utility itself.

The general firmware process described below is for ZIP files. Instructions: - Download the firmware and place it on your phone's SD card.

Turn off your phone:
Depending on the phone press the desired combination of buttons on the phone body.

The set of buttons may vary. A universal option is to try pressing the following keys.
Press the Power + Volume up (or Volume Down) (+Home) buttons simultaneously for a few seconds.
The phone will now boot into Recovery mode.
Use the volume buttons to navigate the menu and press the Power button to make a selection.
Highlight 'Wipe data / factory reset' and press the Power button.
Select 'Yes
delete all user data' from the menu.
Select 'Wipe cashe partition' from the menu.
Select 'Yes - Wipe cache' from the menu.
Select 'advanced' from the menu.
Select 'Wipe Dalvik Cache' from the menu.
Select 'Yes
Wipe Dalvik Cache' from the menu. Go back, press 'Go Back'.
Select 'mounts and storage' from the menu.
Highlight 'format / system' and press the Power button.
Select 'Yes
Format' from the menu. Go back, press 'Go Back'.
Highlight 'install zip from sdcard' .
Highlight 'choose zip from sdcard' .
Select 'Yes -
Install your firmware name' from the menu.
Use the volume buttons to highlight 'Reboot system now.

2. Flashing the phone using TWRP Recovery For those who prefer working with the utility in the form of TWRP Recovery, the following instructions for the step-by-step installation of the update in the form of a ZIP archive are offered:

Upload the file with the firmware image to the SD card of your phone.
Go to TWRP recovery. This is done in the same way as with CWM.
Perform a factory reset. When the phone has finished cleaning, return to the original menu by pressing the 'Back' key.
In the main menu, select 'Install' and find the previously downloaded firmware image.
Click on it by dragging the slider to the side.
The process of flashing the phone will take 2-3 minutes.
After the completion of the firmware operation, you must click on the 'Reboot System' item, and reboot the device.

3. Flashing the phone using Fastboot

A universal tool for flashing Android smartphones using a PC is the Fastboot utility.
It is part of the SDK Platform Tools, which means it is suitable for a large number of devices.
Before starting the firmware, you need to get access to the system kernel.
Very often, many manufacturers block this system parameter, not wanting users to change the system files of their firmware images with their own hands.
To do this, you need to unblock Bootloader.
To do this, you need to study the detailed instructions for configuring and managing the command line.
Before starting the firmware using a computer, do not forget to enable USB debugging of the device in the engineering settings of the device.

Copy the archive with the firmware image to the folder with 'ADB'
Put your smartphone into fastboot mode and write the prompt in the command line: fastbooflash zip filename.zip.
Wait for the end of the installation and reboot the device.

None of this is mine.
thank you so mush but my phone is dead no recovery mode

here is an easy tool for running ADB

https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachments/adb_toolkit_v1-0-zip.2664990/
you can easily pull and push files with this and not know how to run ADB commands. Its all UI (buttons)

Do a factory reset then make a back up.

https://3c71.com/android/?q=node/2769
personally I use the toolbox full version.

if you use the back up already posted. maybe you will get lucky and find out he backed up his bank credentials.
good luck..

oh yeah don't forget... default USB in developer options... change it

Hello!! I'm new here! I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I have a TCL 30 XE 5G (T767W) from Metro by T-Mobile and I had it sim unlocked by an eBay seller who had me hook it up to my PC via USB. The settings menu says it's still locked but it does accept sims from other carriers so I think it's unlocked. The problem is that it won't find any service at all with any sim other than the original Metro sim unless I set it to 2G only mode. Even selecting my service provider from the available network list doesn't work. The only way I can get the phone to find service is to force it to connect to 2G then change the network mode to LTE and then finally set it to 5G and that doesn't always work either and even when it does it's only a matter of time before it randomly disconnects and is left forever searching for service but never reconnecting until I set it back to 2G only mode again. All this is happening in a city with great T-Mobile coverage and all of the sims I've tried run on the T-Mobile network. The only sim that works without any fuss is the Metro sim even after the phone was unlocked. I'm using the phone on a T-Mobile MVNO now but it always disconnects sooner or later. I don't understand how a new phone can't automatically find an LTE or 5G network without first connecting to 2G and it doesn't find that either unless it's set to 2G only mode. Aside from the obvious inconvenience this causes, T-Mobile plans to shut down their 2G network soon at which point this phone won't be able to find service. Has anyone else run into this problem? I have two of these phones both are doing the same thing. Did something go wrong with the unlock? Is it a software issue? I tried asking my carrier for help but they can't figure it out either. I appreciate any help or info anyone here can offer. Sorry for the long post.

So I have this phone too and was able to root it using the mtk client tool .. I pulled the firmware from the phone using this then patched the boot_a.bin file with magisk snd flashed it onto the phone no problems magisk worked had lsposed framework working and everything. I was editing the build.prop file just to change one thing and when I tried to save it it made the file blank 0bytes snd was unable to fix it tried mounting system tried adb push all that no go so my phone started bootlooping from that so I went back to the firmware I had dumped only to notice that my HD was full with no space left and the firmware was incomplete so now I am stuck neeeding the firmware for this phone… I can provide the scatter file but the system_a is what I need most. The firmware someone posted in this topic already is not that right firmware … just to clarify it’s the t767w TCL XE 30 5G (mine was T-Mobile) any help is appreciated sorry I wish I could have been the person to post the firmware here witch I could have but I screwed it up after it wouldnt boot

You can not edit anything in /system. You need to convert super partition to read/write before.
What about the system image you pulled with mtk client?

I haven't look too much into this device, it's my mom's, I do not wan't to root it or anything like by the moment...
If there is a way to backup my system image I would do that for you, but I have tried to do that to other unrooted device unrooted with android 12 with no luck.

if you dont mind doing it.. its a no risk thing really... youd just need this program mtKCLIENT https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=15664248565197194010

if you have the drivers installed and everything all you need to do is have that program running and with the phone turned off hold down all 3 buttons , volupvoldwn, power and plug in usb ... basically lets you pick what partitions you want to read /save

if you could possibly do all of them accept the userdata (50gb partition) that would help everyone who needs that firmware
