Good day,
Please forgive me if this is the wrong forum or if this seems like a double post but I just need to be certain I'm getting the right firmware for my TV
It's a TCL 50P725A I bought sometime in September that I've not gotten any autoupdate between now and then.
If I could get the verified latest update for this TV that would be great. It's a Google TV btw

Hello, I have the 55p615 model and I've been testing the V718, everything seems to work fine until now. is there a way to have compatibility with Alexa or is there another version compatible?
I have a C715 with the V653 installed. So i can't expect a ota from TCL there or? I don't want to flash something because some Features might get lost or so.
Is there is any update or option can i do to make the picture quality better because i can see pixel like it's not smooth i bought it two days ago and i updated it to v715 colours are awesome but i see blur it doesn't seem to be smooth even i activated blur reduction to medium and and grad to high what can i do to make it works smoothly
The prime app is slow as hell can that be foxed? I installed 718 and its slow alreadycan it be that its happening when tv is off for a few months?
Disable google play store auto updates. They run in the background and slow down your tv. But don't forget to manually update the apps once a week or so.

TV+ OS Version: V5.2.0V8-2205240-MD1V520
It has broken surround sound passthrough functionality for me with my Onkyo AV.
What would be the previous software version to download and downgrade to?
I had found a zip file and put on FAT32 USB stick but it doesn't recognise the file because it's not a new update.
So how can I downgrade to previous software and which version number is the previous to this one?

Hi there,
I have a X2 Xess TCL TV (2017). This uses the MT5891 chipset.
It is currently stuck in the power loop (turn on and it gets stuck on android animation). When I try to boot to recovery it comes up with a cog and little cross through it, have tried another (wrong chassis - R851) firmware and got an error when I tried to install.
I am unsure what version of firmware I need to do reset via USB. Can someone please let me know - its our houses main TV and we are missing it LOL. Thanks

After try some firmwares and configurations, dolby atmos its not full implemented in my c715 with v718 firmware and a tcl 8132 soundbar.
Netflix> dolby atmos ok
Hbo> dolby atmos ok
Intern aplication > dolby atmos ok
Disney> Impossible
Kodi> impossible
Vlc> impossible
Any idea how to fix dolby atmos for all apps?
Thanks1This might be a long shot to get an answer. I have the TCL model V8 R851T02-LF1V606.017688. Currently on Android 9 but I would like to upgrade it to a newer firmware.
Which one these that are currently in this thread is compatible? I can't figure it out and I don't want to brick my tv

UPDATE: I managed to find a V715 in the thread and updated the TV. I will test it in the next few days to see if there are any issue of compatibility.1

It only works for v715 and earlier versions, not v718.it doesn't work for me

As I got tired of waiting for the OTA to appear, with my adb logcat running, and it never did ...
I thought: "why don't I edit the ota v213 url to see if it works?", and it did.
V8-R851T02-LF1V321.014450.zip10I have a 75c815k (uk) and have just updated to V715 android 11 software, I was previously on V645 the current official TCL European software and had spent many many hours tweaking the settings to get what I consider the best picture quality to suit my taste and eye. My son has an LG 77" c1 oled which cost him roughly 4 times more than my TCL and whilst my picture is not quite up to his with my settings I think it comes very close and thought I would share them if anyone wants to try them. I like quite a vibrant picture so have used the standard mode with the following settings for SDR ( in movie mode the same settings give a slightly softer look)
Brightness/backlight 45,
Contrast 90,
Black level 40,
Dynamic contrast off, black stretch off, brightness+ on, local dimming low, gamma 0
Colour 48, tint 50, dynamic colour on, colour temp -1
Sharpness 50, digital noise and noise reduction off
Gradation clear (not on V645) low
Motion clarity on, led motion clear off, judder reduction off
Expert calibration settings untouched apart from colour space set to auto.
My Hdr settings are similar although brightness and contrast left at 100 and colour pulled back to around 46
Dolby Vision left alone.
These settings were originally set on V645 but seem ok with V715
As with most things picture quality is subjective but these settings I believe would give a much better baseline to the out of box settings which are way overblown in my opinion.9V640
