This update via 'By Customer Service' allows my C715 on v715 to check for an update however "No need to update, your software version is the latest"
Anyone know what exactly gets updated and if an improvement in any meaningful way? And a confirmed working process?

As far as I know only spain and russia got the update to v722 , when other countries will get it I don't know , I'm waiting myself because I have v718 and will have to upload v715

Messing with the wrong Project ID number can potentially brick your TV. I was not able to change Project ID to ME with the list and service codes provided in an earlier post. My original Project ID is higher than mentioned in this list so maybe there is an updated list for newer motherboards...OK,guys
I changed my 50C715 Project ID to ME region...from AP_324 to ME_325.

Tampering with the Project ID can go very wrong. I strongly suggest using above OTA that installs fine.
Turn off tv, push flash drive in usb Port, hold tv power button for 10 Second and system read the file for update but I Get error with this packageok , without ses I had to install telegram , I downloaded the file but I have no choice to update from usb from under options/updates when I click there nothing happens and there is no update menu
I read on the 4pda forum that also problems , and your method for updating is for the IMG file , and this is the OTA version that's why I think there is an error during the installation of the soft

x925 IMG V149 work on my X915 very well.thanks again!X925 is same CPU (RTD2851M)....as is same platform.....R51MT0x.
Just flash R51MT06 IMG file and try.
Then update with latest V149 OTA.
You can any time flash back to native version with IMG file (posted bellow).....

IMG file size= 2.68GB11After 10 try i succeeded to download the v252 , i install it and the screen is now normal but android system show an error message, i try to valid the factory reset" but the remote has no action, only power off , if i pushed the up or down button on the remote ( i try with the small and the big remote) there is no action...if i try to force a new firmware installation, i can't push the power button during 12 seconds, it still not work now, i'm blocked, i have less action possible than before... how can i valid a reset factory now? no button on my remote controls has any effect on the choice of the menu presented in the picture -

As I got tired of waiting for the OTA to appear, with my adb logcat running, and it never did ...
I thought: "why don't I edit the ota v213 url to see if it works?", and it did.
V8-R851T02-LF1V321.014450.zip10I have a 75c815k (uk) and have just updated to V715 android 11 software, I was previously on V645 the current official TCL European software and had spent many many hours tweaking the settings to get what I consider the best picture quality to suit my taste and eye. My son has an LG 77" c1 oled which cost him roughly 4 times more than my TCL and whilst my picture is not quite up to his with my settings I think it comes very close and thought I would share them if anyone wants to try them. I like quite a vibrant picture so have used the standard mode with the following settings for SDR ( in movie mode the same settings give a slightly softer look)
Brightness/backlight 45,
Contrast 90,
Black level 40,
Dynamic contrast off, black stretch off, brightness+ on, local dimming low, gamma 0
Colour 48, tint 50, dynamic colour on, colour temp -1
Sharpness 50, digital noise and noise reduction off
Gradation clear (not on V645) low
Motion clarity on, led motion clear off, judder reduction off
Expert calibration settings untouched apart from colour space set to auto.
My Hdr settings are similar although brightness and contrast left at 100 and colour pulled back to around 46
Dolby Vision left alone.
These settings were originally set on V645 but seem ok with V715
As with most things picture quality is subjective but these settings I believe would give a much better baseline to the out of box settings which are way overblown in my opinion.9V640
