I've just flashed v727.

I was on v715 which I was very happy with. Have flash via the Local Update option as its OTA.
Updated well, no issues. at all experienced.
My use of the TV is 95% with a PC so only tested that so far. Works just as well, I dont see any additional settings or anything out of the ordinary, so dont know if anything has changed with this release.

Will keep using this and revert back to v715 if find fault with it, had only tried one other version between these two and wasnt happy. v715 is my benchmark, v727 appears equivelant so far

v727 on C815

Picture is smoother, tho I notice a few more artefacts (less background processing I'm assuming).
Overall I'm happier with this update for the smoothness over previous versions.

I do use Apps within the TV, Youtube/Kodi/Plex/Disney/Netflix/Prime, all working OK.

That said - Plex still assigns the wrong audio channels for generic 5.1 streams, so use the plex plugin for Kodi instead to get around that.

Haven’t seen one, but if you really want to do it that way you could use the v722 img, then immediately flash the v727 OTA

Ability to update over OTA is bust and I'd rather not go down the way in versions to go back up.

With OTA can update and downgrade from any version, same as with IMG file.
Benefit of OTA is not loosing apps and data.
With IMG file loosing all.

Are you using a FAT32 formatted USB drive ?

If you do flash an img file, the OTA from local function should start to work again (unless you have a hardware issue)

I appreciate (or at least I hope) you may be trying to help (despite your impatience that appears to come across ). I'm fine with not being able to use the OTA method (for the record, that ability is broken on my TV following update to 722 and running a de-bloat script - my choice). In my original post, I was only asking if anyone knew if 727 was available as an IMG, if the answer to that is yes or no then that's all that's needed.

It's an issue with the TV after I ran a de-bloat script which is preventing any OTA update, which didn't bother me until trying to update to 727. Happy to wait for an IMG file to become available

Are you talking about OTA network auto update or OTA zip file manual update ?
Again,
same as IMG file, you can use OTA zip file for manual update.

There are the 3 methods for OTA update

Reflash TV again with V722 IMG (or do factory reset) and all your "debloat mistakes" will be gone.

i've the same issue on my 55C715. After i ran debloat, the settings to update or factory reset no longer works. I've to flash with the OTA zip.

I debloat my C715 100 times, never happen to me.
Flash any IMG file (or OTA zip file with IMG method) and don't run unproven debloat list.....

Flash with OTA file:
Download V727 OTA zip file and zip file copy to USB FAT32 formatted.
- Insert USB in TV input (be sure TV recognise USB)
- Off TV (by long press on remote or unplug from power socket)
- Press and hold TV power button (if you unplug , plug back power) until flashing start.
- Release TV power button and wait TV to be restarted.

Yes, you are right...OTA will never change present changes....(but at least can update !)
IMG will do .... ...or from your list, what you disable, need to enable (reverse) again.
I don't follow any list, as I doing myself.
For debloating ,I using ADBAppControl from my PC.
So, anything I wrongly disabled, I can enable back anytime.
And I can see what I doing....
