Are you talking about OTA network auto update or OTA zip file manual update ?
Again,
same as IMG file, you can use OTA zip file for manual update.

There are the 3 methods for OTA update

Reflash TV again with V722 IMG (or do factory reset) and all your "debloat mistakes" will be gone.

You mean that 6 channel videos do not hear the voice? Did you try this option on Plex Server?

i remember in 2020, 2021 you even had to tap PCM output, or touch the TV's audio settings. But in the latest versions of Plex Client and Server by default are quite compatible with stream 6 channels.

The Plex Client for Android doesn’t present the options shown, but the server itself on another computer is set to normalise for web (that is the only section the option exists)

Anything pass through will work fine (Atmos/ac3/etc) but anything with an unknown 5.1 stream mixes up the channels. Eg center comes out the right speaker.

This problem is unique to Android, feeding over HDMI works fine, but I want to use the inbuilt software and not run an external player.

I should add, the Kodi speaker assignment is set to 3.1
If I set Kodi to 5.1 the same issue occurs there.
Plex for Android sadly doesn’t have a speaker assignment option.

I come from 715, which received no further updates.

Install this one to see if it solved the issue that the Google Assistant does not work. But the problem remains.

I have plex, prime, disney, star running smoothly.

Just the TV, stereo speakers and typical streaming platforms

I just wish the built in android would support other screen refresh rates like 50hz, 24hz to have a smooth playback of video content.

Yes, usb is the only way

As for if you should, that is up to you.

Assuming the download isn’t corrupted, use a different usb stick/drive and make sure it is formatted FAT32
