Hi. My TCL TV has updated to V715. Now I can't change subtitle size through USB.
Tried the accessibility menu and changed every setting without any change to subtitle size.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Whan you say same firmware you mean on have v645 firmware like mine or you think v715.. anyway can you tell me what chances are for my tv to get A11? Thnx
Just update with V715 OTA file...ATV11
I think you will understand that is same platform (R851T02) and you can update....
There probably are much more releases but we no longer have access to ftp/tcl repositories so, if we see new ROMs, it will take a while until they get published.
v715 is a massive improvement for me. Had tried an earlier version of A11 but reverted back to A9 for stability (menus were still lagging). Only thing missing is Dolby Atmos which is a shame.

I updated to v715 (ota) a couple of weeks ago and apart from the odd niggle it is really good, I am getting atmos through the tv apps on netflix and apple tv but not Disney. I get atmos on everything trough a Roku 4k stick. My tv is a c815k
For me Dolby Atmos working only in V674 and V677....TV C715...no soundbar.
Since V682 and V701 & V715, TCL change "nrdp_rtk" file (in IMG firmware) for unknown reason....attached

I can replace files, but problem is to assemble IMG file back again.

When I was on v645 on netflix dolby atmos didn't show in the program description (just 5.1 sound)and the atmos logo didn't pop up on screen, since v715 installed atmos now appears alongside dolby digital in the program description and when a title is played the atmos screen logo popps up next to the dolby vision logo, if my soundbar is switched on it also shows that dolby atmos is playing.

C815 is different,as has in-build soundbar.

That's interesting, I have the C815K with sound bar too and don't have Atmos working on Netfilx.
Wonder why that is?
I didn't have atmos on anything through the tv on v645 (did get it on roku stick so tv was capable)) but 1st thing I noticed on v715?
Thinking about it when I loaded v715 I had a few issues and had to do a factory reset so had to reload netflix maybe that is why mine works?

V8-R851T02-LF1V458 is latest known version for your TV model (N.America region).
However, you can update with global version with any R851T02 firmware.
Android 9 is up to V662 and Android 11 is up to V728.
Use search for this topic and type V458 , many posts available as noted above.1 -

file size= 1.38GB10I have a 75c815k (uk) and have just updated to V715 android 11 software, I was previously on V645 the current official TCL European software and had spent many many hours tweaking the settings to get what I consider the best picture quality to suit my taste and eye. My son has an LG 77" c1 oled which cost him roughly 4 times more than my TCL and whilst my picture is not quite up to his with my settings I think it comes very close and thought I would share them if anyone wants to try them. I like quite a vibrant picture so have used the standard mode with the following settings for SDR ( in movie mode the same settings give a slightly softer look)
Brightness/backlight 45,
Contrast 90,
Black level 40,
Dynamic contrast off, black stretch off, brightness+ on, local dimming low, gamma 0
Colour 48, tint 50, dynamic colour on, colour temp -1
Sharpness 50, digital noise and noise reduction off
Gradation clear (not on V645) low
Motion clarity on, led motion clear off, judder reduction off
Expert calibration settings untouched apart from colour space set to auto.
My Hdr settings are similar although brightness and contrast left at 100 and colour pulled back to around 46
Dolby Vision left alone.
These settings were originally set on V645 but seem ok with V715
As with most things picture quality is subjective but these settings I believe would give a much better baseline to the out of box settings which are way overblown in my opinion.10Another Argentinian here.
As I got tired of waiting for the OTA to appear, with my adb logcat running, and it never did ...
I thought: "why don't I edit the ota v213 url to see if it works?", and it did.
