TCL P6046 doesn't recognize USB drives and cant boot to recovery

I have a TCL U55P6046 (MT58 platform) Android TV that I would like to update to the newest firmware. I can't flash or local update using a USB drive because my TV doesn't recognize any of them (I have tried about 10 sticks formatted in FAT32). When I try to boot into recovery mode to flash the firmware, I get "no command" error for very short time and after that just "error" and the TV reboots. I have connected the TV to my PC and I can give it commands using ADB and Fastboot, but can't use sideload or boot into recovery from there either.

Is there a way to flash/update the newest firmware (or any firmware) without using USB drives or recovery mode or am I stuck with my current, buggy software? I do have ZIP and PKG files already.

Thank you in advance.
