Hey mw thanks for your hard work and settings. I didn't have the ro.home.adj prop in my phone. How major is that one? And also some of the props I didn't have to change because they already were at what you have posted. Is that normal?

Open build prop again and hit the + at the bottom right corner, you will find your missing prop in there.

Also which prop would make the screen take longer than normal to come back after being locked? After changing all those props and after restart I would lock my screen then after swiping to unlock the screen would be black for about 4 seconds and then come on. After resetting defaults all is well again

Had to set my memory setting back to default in rom toolbox, everytime I opened ktweaker, my i/o pop up was asking me if I wanted my settings back. Fixed now

These settings are the business. Phone feels fantastic.

A bit off topic... But toolbox shows an option to change pixel density... Any benefit to that?

Edit: at least I thought it did...now I can't find it. It was on the left hand side.

It was there you hit top left to open backup tab an it says that up top... I don't change stuff like that. Not aure why adding those props would add screen on lag, ive had screen on lag since ysing low mhz i think.

Hey guys some UI tweaks in Developer Options

Turning animation settings to off offers fast transitions and hwoverlay and force gpu render are great to use. Helps smooth UI and helps cpu work less.
*disable hwoverlay is unchecked at every reboot unlike the other four options. If hwoverlay is the only option you ever have to check manually when a reboot has occured than thats really not all that much. No short way to do it as Ktoonsez tried to get it to be option at bot with Ktweaker and apparently won't happen since it must be by the system interface only.

*/*/*/*/*******************************
-------------------------------
IF YOUR ON TOUCHWIZ JELLYBEAN DO NOT BOTHER WITH THE HWOVERLAY OPTION. CHECK THE OTHER OPTIONS AND SET THEM AND ALL WILL BE PROPER EVEN ON REBOOT. IT HAS BEEN FOUND TO CAUSE AN ISSUE STARTING VIDS IN FULL SCREEN OR ROTATING SCREEN TO FULL SCREEN OR THE OVERLAY ITSELF. IN ANY CASE ITS ONLY A LITTLE CPU OVERHEAD NOT USING THAT OPTION ADDS SO NO NEED TO WORRY ABOUT IT ON TOUCHWIZ ROMS THE REST OF THE TWEAKS WILL WORK FINE.
CRAZYMOOK THANKS FOR TESTING, INVESTIGATING AND ULTIMATELY FINDING THE WORKAROUND.

The home setting helps keep the launcher you use in the memory so that there is less overhead when you access your launcher app like Nova, Trebuchet etc. Makes for a faster access time, less cpu overhead and saves battery since ita already loaded where it needs to be when accessed. The descriptions are in those pics romtoolbox for each has a little caption, i posted the pics like that so you guys could also know what they do.

Tried mw86's new settings and got poor results. Lag and choppy movements. Went back to his original setup with a small tweak of my own. Got 28 hours battery life with 5.5 hours of screen on time. Great stuff mw86, thanks.

CHANGING BUILD PROPS AND NEXUS SOFT KEYS

DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND REMEMBER WHAT YOUR STOCK DPI IS WRITE IT DOWN

Now that is over here we go ok this is simple guild to do this not thst hard to do all you need is rom toolbox to do this and this is mainly for TPR rom not JB rom my jellybombers our DPI is set to where our theme works for our phone which is it is stock 320 it just messes up alot themed apps and other samsung stuff on the phone so as far it goes for TPR you can lower your alil and it want effect you at all.

DPI means pixel density. a lower value will make your device's text and icons appear smaller. A higher value will make everything larger.please note this can cause incompatibility errors through google play. so, ONCE AGAIN DO AT YOUR ON RISK!!!

STEP 1:eek:pen rom toolbox and slide to the left and you will see build prop editor and open it up

STEP 2:eek:nce open either you can search for it down in bottom left corner or scroll down to it you are looking for- ro.sf.lcd_density

STEP 3:as you can see its already set to 320 which is stock our phone cant handle anything lower then 240 but the further you go down the smaller it gets and the higher you the bigger it gets and if you change it you have to reboot to make it go into effect

so thats how you change your DPI but on another note i wont mess with any of this stuff ill going to leave this for my devs to mess with i dont wont to mess up anything

NEXUS SOFT KEYS

While in build props tap the plus sign in the bottom left corner under property name add this there:

qemu.hw.mainkeys

then under property values enter:

0

then hit save and reboot and now you have the nexus soft on your home screen n if you want to disable it go back to the build prop you for the keys and change the 0 to a one and reboot and that will turn the soft keys or you can just delete the build prop all together your choice enjoy

After discussion with Kenny, 320 is optimal for TPR as well.. (Again will cause some app issues) but it's an at your own risk. Make sure you have a good backup incase ya don't like what ya did to it.. But again.. Thanks for the update!

STATUS BAR ISSUE ON JB AND TPR

The status issue on JB and TPR ROMS is caused by the center clock mod its been a on going issue on these roms they simple fixs to get the status bar back all you have to do is ither pull down the status bar, get someone to send a text or take a screen shot by swiping your palm across the screen or holding down the home and power button at the same time if you use swipe of your palm make sure you have your motion enabled in your settings and palm swipe is checked off in the settings of motion and for the JB rom you can go to the mods folder and flash a different clock and it will fix the issue and TPR rom users you can do the same but big boss kenny is fixing it in his next build for ya'll. these are the simple fixs for the status issue on both roms

Just to add, you will need the multi dpi market mod for this too, I've done it, tried it, it wasn't pretty and a mess to fix. Thanks nandroid for the bail out lol

Just a heads up to those who do this...after checking the box, watch a video you've recorded on your phone. For mine, the video stops playing as soon as the menu overlay goes away. If i tap the screen and the menu comes back, the video starts playing again.

That app works fanstastic. Never had any issues on 2 different phones. All I got was better battery and smoother os

Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Have you tried unpimping those phones? These settings are based on manually applying and actually looking at what you are changing, a app is for universal application and all phones are different. PMR was a great app, I used from the first day it was available, flashed it, and had to play with it a lot, but again, to many variables with "out of the box do it all app" and when you don't want it anymore and hit the all in one Unpimp key, talk about a mess, awesome idea for those that want something to just Do it, I prefer manual and reading exactly what I'm doing. Back to the topic of this thread, sorry to ramble. :banghead:
