updated the link, same file name fixed internal storage mount and a few other minor issues

8/20/2016 - initial release

Youll need to use flashify to flash the image after rooting. this should work on all b3 models, aka lg v525, v521 etc

For the test version i had of 2.7.8.0 i had to do this, since i have already done it i cant confirm if you need to on 3.0.2.0 or not. ----- data/internal storage wont mount/work until you go to wipe> format data and format without encryption reboot recovery and then do a factory reset. this will wipe your ENTIRE device but allow you to use twrp normally.
Oh, I see, I must wipe and format my internal storage.

Has anyone tried this on the v522 Canadian variant? It appears as though Canadian carriers are notorious for locking down the bootloader and any other means of breaking into phones/tablets. I'm sick of it.

Hello Shabby,

Just got this tablet last week in the Magenta Friday promotions....
Now looking at what is involved to get enough memory to actually use it (Adoptable Storage, etc)....

Does your twrp work with a thumb drive plugged into the usb 2.0 port or the micro usb port?
Does it work with any external memory or microSD memory at all?

Any news on your update to work with adoptable storage?

Thanks

OTG and external SD Mounting isn't working in TWRP 3.0.2.0? I was trying to backup to a usb or even the micro sd slot and it is unavailable. Anyone have any luck with this?

EDIT: I was able to get it working by formatting the external storage as ext4 format.

If you mount them manually to the correct mountpoints in the terminal in TWRP they will work. Otherwise, update.

Which Xposed version/link you installed ? the normal one for MM ? since I know my other LG devices gotta install with custom Xposed one due to LG apps
Any version above 78 or so has been made to work with the encrypted LG apps. I have installed both official v87 and systemless v82 by @topjohnwu (although it installs in system mode since I can't get supersu to install in systemless mode.?) Just make sure you use ARMv7 sdk23.

how do u know if u have system or systemless root ? I thought this tablet ROM is MM and got root injected by tungkick , hence it s systemless ?

Excuse my ignorance, but is TWRP supposed to load on each boot after installing with flashify or do you have to run the flashify TWRP image install each time you want to run TWRP during boot up?

Hi,
Has there been any movement on making TWRP work with SD or OTG thumb drives?
eriklion mentioned manually mounting them using terminal - can anyone explain exactly how to do this?
This is the main issue concerning be about rooting - I want to be able to Nandroid backup to a thumb drive after rooting.
I would really appreciate any help with this - thanks!!!
