I wonder if that's just Samsung being choosy about what devices can connect to their TVs. A while ago we bought a wireless HP printer and when you try to use the built in print functionally of the original Galaxy Note it says you can only connect to a Samsung printer.EXACTLY....I payed #159 pounds for a tab 3 7.0 and it was soooooo slow.. the only good thing about it was that it was a samsung which means that it felt elegent in the hand etc.....Hardware is ****...SAmsung took out otg capability on purpose for bugjet cuts etc.
Tegra is awesome......In every single way......
One thing though.....With my samsung I could connect it to my smart samsung tv....
With the note I can connect it and it asks for password and everything but I get authorisation error when using wireless display on the note.....For some reason it dosent work..![]()
I've been trying a JustTop wireless EZCast dongle with the Tegra Note today. Very mixed results with frequent pixelation, sounds dropouts and disconnects. If it worked smoothly it would be excellent. I don't think this is the Note's fault at all.
I also tested a Moga Pro controller today and that works well (only tried HID mode). The ability to use one of the thumb stick to control a mouse cursor means you can control the tablet from afar with it plugged into a TV via micro HDMI cable (Y=Menu, B=back, A=Select from memory). The only downside is that once you get into a game like Dead Trigger you have to touch the screen to use the menus, or use a wireless keyboard/mouse which makes for some awkward device juggling.

The 2013 Nexus 7 definitely has a nicer screen both in terms of colours and resolution, but the Note is definitely quicker. If you ever connect to a tv to game, the Nexus will be considerably slower. The Note is buttery smooth when connected to a TV. I also wanted a microsd card slot so I could bung a load of music on it to stream to my HiFi. Also, when it was briefly half the price of the Nexus 7 it was a no brainer. The biggest drawback for me at the moment is the lack of Six Axis support. I haven't tried it myself yet as I don't want root until I'm sure this device will be OK and won't go tits up like the first one.I returned mine as faulty after finding out about the £99 price drop. Truth be told it did have issues but I could get along with it. but £80 cheaper than I paid? sod that. Got a full refund so now I'm wondering whether I get another note 7 OR a nexus 7, as I was originally torn between them both. My problem is that I want a tablet that I can game on, but will also get a lot of developer attention for custom roms etc. AND I WANT SIX AXIS TO WORK!
Whats your input guys?
Also, because of the six magnets in the back, you can stick the Note to a fridge. Can't say I ever intend to use that particular 'feature' but it's hilariously funny when it happens the first time (like when you open the fridge with the same hand that's holding the Note and it goes 'clang' and sticks to it!)
