Tegra Note 7

Bootloader has always been there, we received device with already unlocked bootloader, they mustve implemented security so if casual users that arent into modifying receive device its more secure for device to be locked... Unlocking boot loader isnt a big deal fastboot oem unlock n mission accomplished

The updated 4.3, locked the device !

Already done, just a warning to others ... OK !

Been keeping an eye on things here regarding tegra note 7 since i purchased this device, happy as have CWM workibg and booting, needs a few touch ups before i will release... Also will work on kitkat for note as not a big fan of current 4.2.2 and 4.3...

To give you guys a headstart here is a fully functioning CWM6.0.4.5 latest compiled

Access recovery in pc via terminal/cmd

I;ve had mine a week now, just updated to 4.3.

a couple of things, the camera no longer works but from the start, the battery was appalling. Its supposed to have 10hrs of video playback but after a few hours of genarul use, it needs charging and that took 4 hours.

I'm hoping the update will iron that out but now the camera? any ideas?

Great tablet and i don't see the need to root, no kernals not now bloatware - Maybe to over clock the cores but 1.9 on 4 cores is ok with me.

just want the EVGA Slide Cover, anyone know where in the UK we can get it from?

Camera works...
The camera update works great and is the best thing from the update.
reinstall the update again ... you could fix it, if you had it rooted,
but you don't see the need to root :laugh::laugh:

Haha, I asked for that, didn't i really???!!!..... I done a restore and all is working however, still not impressed with the battery.

I just think its a crying shame the screen res lets it down, otherwise its would be up there with the best of the best. Made up with it and all for £99

Just want the actual case that goes with it.
Would love a nice custom rom with the likes of beats audio, the sony brava engine and i would like nothing more than the ZOE app ported plus a nice over clock kernal with a good system management tool.
Could do with a nice smoother launcher if you know of one

battery life is not as good as advertised although on low brightness I can pull off 6 hours of wifi web browsing. not tried any hd video playback yet.

If you are rooted, there is a Beats app, easy install and easy to remove.
(removed from play, but can be found on xda)

I have install both beats and brava engine.
% battery and mod a few icons

When we do get a custom rom, bet it will improve the battery life

I'd like the 4.3 upgrade to stop fc several apps that it didn't on 4.2
So far gangstar Vegas and artflow have become unusable due to crashing.
Will for up adb and see what's going on, presume there's a memory issue
Would be nice to have open gl3 as well, as it was one of the main 4.3 features.
Don't buy into this idea that a modern chipset doesn't support it

Is the firmware the issue on the tegra?

I have contacted ezcast with not much joy.. Skifta works fine however??

just realised the % battery display is standard, found it in the settings under display. must have been added in the 4.3 update. awesome.

I dont have a ezcast adapter, but you are right, Skifta works well with my Smart TV's. The built in one in "setting", dont seem to work with me

Some games (such as GT Racing 2) assume I've got one of those 'Shield' controllers attached when I haven't, and I cannot play the game using normal tablet controls. Any suggestions?

Same problem with Asphalt 8.... The game recognises the device as a NVIDIA SHIELD ....

After more searching I've discovered there's a known fault with fairly recent games from Gameloft (GT Racing 2 and Asphalt 8 are both Gameloft games). You can only play them on the Tegra Note 7 if you have the Shield controller attached. Sounds like shoddy programming to me.

From personal experience I can confirm that older games such as Asphalt 7 work fine.

I suppose the good news is that there's not a fault with out devices.
