Can anyone help me???

My device isn't showing any available OTA for 4.3 yet. So I downloaded the zip file, placed it in the right directory, and restarted it. Nothing happened. I tried pushing it via adb, and restarting it, and again nothing happened. I have the EVGA version with an unlocked bootloader, and root. I tried with a locked bootloader and no root as well, and got no results.
Can anyone help me??

EDIT: I installed the CWM recovery, and tried to update it through that, and got the error message: "assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "tegranote" | | getprop("ro.build.product") == "tegranote"

any idea how to fix this?

I've got OTA update captured from my ADVENT VEGA UK version of TN7.
Unfortunately my upload speed is pathetic to put it on the web but I'm attaching build.prop to compare with US version.

Yes, as far as Im aware getprop is broken on all CWM recoverys (even on xperia z1, something has changed) , remove assert from script or wait till I try to bring TWRP

If you look in the file;
adb pull /data/fota/ipth-muc.prop

it should have the name and directory of what's expected from updates.

The UK ota just popped up. Typically just as I'm going out.
Will upload it when I'm back and do a compare to see what diffs there are

Read the instructions at the start post.

Put the OTA file in the directory;
/sdcard/nvidia/app/ota/download/rom/

Then restart the tablet. It should update the files without formatting the partition.

Yep, that's what I did but got nothing. Just have to wait till someone comes up with the right root method for my tablet version and for the TWRP so I can do the update via recovery.

I was a thinking the same, if anyone had a chance to look inside I guess the bootscreen says 'EVGA' on the ROM posted. I'll see later if anyone from the UK has installed it, might get the OTA by then.. Will try and upload it if I do.

There is no branding in the Nvidia updates. Splash screen image and Bootanimation is not included in the updates.If the bootanimation is removed from your device, it will have a Android boot screen.

Just installing ota 4.3 on advent UK just came through think this tab needs its own section if enough of us hit the request page frequently we may get one its deff got potential

the UK and evga ota are binary identical, they are the same file.

All devices are the same! Binarys will most likely be identical
Nvidias doing all the development

These companies evga/advent are only companies purchasing from nvidia and selling. Different manufactures are selling in different regions
Evga = america
Advent = uk
Theres one for china etc etc

The main device is the same

Nevermind. FINALLY just had my OTA come through. Downloading it now. My OTA name is different... Ill pull it and put the file up once it's finished. Maybe this one will work better for those that still dont have their OTA

I love the new 'full screen' option under the drop down settings menu (after the 4.3 update). Bluetooth is improved too - now my MW600 shows track names on its display which is great (although Windows Mobile 6.5 used to be able to do this years ago - LOL, way to catch up Google).

*EDIT* I found I was having lots of disconnects using Bluetooth devices after the 4.3 update so I'm trying a factory to see if this improves things. So far so good, apart from my Moga Pro which is now rather flaky in HID mode.

Hardware keyboards using USB OTG or Bluetooth now have the option of using a UK layout in the Input settings menu (so we can use the £ symbol if we want). Unfortunately autocorrect and the other options under the hardware keyboard menu still don't work.

Before the factory reset available RAM was also a lot lower than before the update.

Hey guys I'm just wondering about the Always on HDr.....I cant seem to find that option on my camera app.... even after the update ca,era awesome was still the same with a couple of changes but I cant see anything to do with always hdr.... can someone confirm this or is it just me???/Screenshots would help aswell.... Ah thanks for ur help but I solved it another way.....I opened the settings and there was no setting for AOHDR.....So I opened play store and uninstalled all the updates for the smugmug camera awesome app and opened the camera awesome app and it was there!!!

Also i want to know where in the tablet the position of the magnet is, so i can "build" my own smartcase with it, like it works with the official case.
Would be awesome if someone could tell me the minimum strength of the magnet (so it works), and the maximum strength. (so it doens't damage the memory or something.)

There appear to be a total of eight magnets in the Note, six on the back, two on the front. The easiest thing is to get a paperclip or something similar and see where it sticks to

The two on the front are in the right hand bezel, top and bottom (with the note held portrait).

On the back, with the tablet held in landscape, there's one just below the camera module, then two more in a vertical line below that. There are three more in the same positions at the other end of the tablet.

I've noticed the compass on mine doesn't work very well - not surprising gievn how many magnets are in it?

I wish Nvidia would hurry up and release a patch to fix the USB OTG bug that appeared in the 4.3 update. Every time I unmount my USB drive it screws up the micro SD card which means you have to restart the tablet and then sometimes clear data on the gallery, music and Media Storage apps to get it to find your media again. Very annoying.
