Thanks Jeff for the Carrier Fix. :)
No problem, but FULL props to Buck as he found it - I simply provided the URL. :)

Thanks Jeff for the Carrier Fix. :)

I ended up trying the SuperCharger script out, installed it with the script Manager App. It does make a noticeable difference, it changes the allocation of how the internal memory is managed by the OS. It works fine on Miui and settings stick after reboot as well :)
(I've read that some custom ROMs do not retain the changes after a reboot, there is a work around for that as well though.)

I ended up installing the 'Extended Settings Menu' Mod which is pretty neat, oh and they also have included an actual App Drawer in that Mod which I thought you may be interested in ;)
Adam - how did you install the super charger. I downloaded latest (9.x) which has a PDF extension, but script manager doesn't seem to want to run for me.

A PDF file? That's wierd, the file I downloaded just had a .txt extension. The script is just a normal shell script (.sh). Attached is the one I'm using.

A PDF file? Thats weird, the file I downloaded was just a regular shell script with a .txt extension appended to it.

I chose number '2' for the scroll speed and option '9' for the mem settings.

Attached is the one that I am using. Let me know if you have any other questions
man

Edit..
Looks like I double posted, lol
oooooo, it is a later version eh, looks like I'm running behind the times!!

I'm having issues with script runner - will look at that tomorrow-ish.

Also, flashed the extended menu as it looked like there was great options - my clock is centered - but there is the miui control panel? For the life of me cannot find, but perhaps I'm ODing on bbq and beer :)

The Miui Control application is a separate download.
Here is the Link to the 1.11.18 package:
http://android.gcfam.net/devs/andy/1.11.18/Extended_Settings/

Also, good news!!
The Glitch kernel was updated yesterday! I've installed it and everything is working as expected :)
The Kernel boot screen is a little different now too :)

Nice thing about the glitch kernel is that you do not need to run any Kernel clean up script, it's built to the installation.

Just download to the root of the SD and Flash via CWM:

Alrighty - first, THANKS! :)

1) Script problem. Resolved that - user error. Script Manager, and NOT script Runner *doh!* (also, it will run the PDF without renaming it :) )

2) Thanks for the APK link on the settings, I didn't catch that - works seamlessly - lots of options.

3) Glitch Kernel - V13 - installed - doesn't look like leakage versions anymore, but worked AOK for me.

I have to say I am completely loving this ROM, and I have barely touched the UI customizations (which I can lose hours doing). Still seeing what I like. Battery life does not seem as good as Darky's BUT more than workable, and to be fair, I have to stop playing with the ROM (flashing eats a lot of juice) and let the dust settle before I can make a more qualified observation on that.

All in all - can't see me switching back or even trying CM7 - I really love the feel of this particular ROM and how it working.

I miss LPP a bit - and I know I could likely put it on - but the stock launcher is working SOOOOO nicely I haven't put it on yet (and truth be told what I really miss is the LPP calendar and twitter widget - so trying some new widgets to fill that gap).

All for now - have a Santa Clause parade tonight - so may not get to writing more until later in the week ... ahhh, who am I kidding, I'll be playing again before I know it ;)

Thanks for glitch update link and thanks to the dev for continued support.

The control panel app will not set for me though. I make a change and it does nothing. Not sure what's going on there :(

Any insight guys would be great

Did you also install the 'Extended settings' zip via CWM as well? Because I'm pretty sure that it is required for the app to work.

The only changes I didn't notice right away was the 'Clock alignment', that requires a reboot for the setting to change.

It looks like they are required for the app to function properly.
If still not working, uninstall the app and re-install. You should be good to go.
Link only takes to the apk file now no zip. Gonna reinstall but first the glitch options thanks for the info

Welcome aboard Chubster - one thing I HIGHLY recommend is that you get yourself a USB jig. For example, I was pooched last night, without a jig I would have been dead in the water. We play a risk with our phone as its not supported by any ROM directly that I know of ... but its a calculated risk as we try things and support one another.

I know the jig has saved several of us at this point, and you would be hard pressed to find someone who would not recommend one :) Nice you were only on 2.2 as trying the different ROMs is much easier from froyo.

Also, if you want excellent battery life, I would recommend Darkys ROM which you will find lots of support on threads from same crew here moving to MIUI as most of started on that ROM. Its comparable to Juwe in look and feel - GREAT community support on their forums as well.
Thanks jpmccarthy and I have a usb jig on order. Will try not to mess up the phone too much until it arrives. :)

Will check out Darkys but it would be hard to leave the sweet MIUI eye candy.

Are you guys running any battery saver apps? I'm running one called Green Power and it FCs with the latest Glitch v13 release. Had to go back to V13 Dev. Juice Defender complains that the ROM isn't AOSP and can't control mobile data. I have a crappy signal at work and without it can't get through the day from full charge in the morning. Been trying different modems KG3 and now running JK3.

Letting the dust settle

Alight - I've restored/reinstalled my favourite apps - organized the homescreens a bit. I installed the V6 super charger, and latest glitch.

Got battery to 100% this morning, and re-calibrated.

Just going to let it ride and not play for a while. Couple things I've noticed but have no solution for:

1) Still get navigation to crash almost every time IF I enter navigation directly and search for a location - coming in from maps, places works fine.

2) Data warning. Got a data warning last night that I exceeded 50MB of date. I actually have a 1GB plan, but don't know how to switch that monitoring data yet. SOLVED!!!!

3) Pretty sure my phone goes silent at some time during the night, and wakes up sometime during the morning - not sure where these settings are yet either.

Will let you know on battery (oh and Chubs - I've only ever had issues ANY battery saver - so do not use any of them at this point).

UPDATE

Battery is already at just over 80% at noon - so definitely eating it up - not horrible, but I'd likely still be in the 90s with Darkys.
