Hey Guys,

I've been a lurker on these forums for years. I've successfully installed a multitude of Roms includeding MIUI and CM7. I just successfully installed ICS and I have a quick question.

I've added my gmail and exchange account, but for some reason my contacts and email are not being synced. I'm currently on Wifi. Any suggestions?

Also, my reception is terrible, I'm wondering if somebody could direct me to where I can download a compatible modem, and the way to install it. I've never done it before.

This rom is cm based so any cm7 modem will work. I use perkas file store to get mine (app installed with the add on).

Any MIUI or CM7 ROM would work - search the XDA there's a list - I use a KC1 modem.

Yes and I had him add an 850 enabled folder for us

Hi the rom looks impressive but after flashing I have no service. Do i have to flash a modem or what else do I need. thanks

Have you gone into your mobile settings to ensure you have a carrier selected? That happened on my last install.

Check under the status in settings and see if you have an imei. If you do not then you will be flashing to stock again and starting over. If you do have to then make sure to backup the folder then flash and restore. Happened to me twice and now i restore no matter what

ROMs are definitely a personal preference thing, but you may want to check out our Onecosmic thread - my preferred ROM

Just flashed this now - throwing on the essentials, Packs 1 and 2, the wallpapers and changing to the KC1 modem as I usually do

Where did you find the KC1 modem that works with the surface rom? I have found a couple, but want to make sure I am flashing the correct file. A link to the KC1 you use would be very helpful.
